before you quit a company, no matter which state you live in.  What you do is take off as many days as you can and then give notice, even take off some days during your notice.  If they let you go before your time is off, at least you've taken some time off and won't lose your pay.  And all the better if you can start your new job sooner.  You have to know how to work it people!
