Are you in the same predicament I am?  All these companies will hire me on the spot, however, no one will match my pay!

EX-MQer
Thank you.
Also soon to be ex-MQer
As of 8/31... After 12 years, losing so much money, the cesspool of work, I am off to another company. Hopefully, it will work out for all of us... It's hearbreaking to have to leave, but I honestly believe in less than a year, MQ will either be belly up or so fragmented and sold off, even the PS will be out of a job.
soon to be ex-MQer
I started today. I had training this morning and typed a few reports, then logged off to send an email with some questions. I love it!!!! Have you heard anything yet? You may want to try emailing them if you haven't.

I applied to Oracle (I have a lot of experience and great skills) and they did not even acknowledge my resume. I was quite disappointed in them. I hope your work picks up soon.

I am one of your co-workers.

I don't care for the Q any more than you. However, in all honesty...my line count doubled when I went into DQS. It was ASR that turned it into a flaming downward spiral.

DQS is all about shortcut functions and typing speed. It does take about a month of like full time killing yourself to get used to it. I have worked on 3 different platforms before.

As an aside, you have to remember this was back in the VERY BEGINNING of DQS before they added all the templates and standards into the system. Now it sucks almost as bad as ASR. I think it will depend for them on what they are doing with DQS. If they don't have all that stuff they have to do like the Q makes us do, they may actually improve.

I would have to say that just about anything the Q touches these days goes sour.

BTW, I was reading on a posting in the SEC filings that the Q has some sort of patent infringement suit going on over DQS.
ex-Mqer is right.
Makes a good back up but I'm tired of trying to struggle to make a living.  If you are hired full time, expect to work part.
i'll 2nd MQer
thought maybe i could do better -- wrong!! Either they couldn't/wouldn't give the flexibility, couldn't offer the good platform, other offer no equipment or reimbursement for DSL, some don't have enough work volume... MQ is the place for me!
You are talking to an X-MQer
and I was not alone in making 11.5 a line for years before the company went sour. MT companies used to charge the doctors 18 cents a line and now they are cut throating, and selling the false benefits of ASR to the hospitals to charge the hospital 14-15 cents a line, so don't tell me that we should not be earning a good 10 cents a line - AT LEAST
Ex-MQer, now KSer. . .
I wouldn't take it to small claims. My original lead in ortho did call me today and we straightened it all out. She has always been honest and fair to me and so has my other lead. They offered me another account within the company. I was hoping they'd come through. I never meant to bash the whole company because they all don't deserve it. It was just miscommunication.
MQer from Orange, CA also......without work
another day, but not another dollar :(
EX-MQer maybe its time to make a change in your name and get on with your life
