I have had this problem in the past also. Thankful that now on account that is through the internet. MCI did this to me twice, the first time and then they called me about 6 months to a year later and wanted me back. Of course I had to explain my whole ordeal to about 6 people, most probably just salespeople and had no clue, one even took it to their supervisor who had never heard of such a thing, so they took me back. Approximately six months later did the same thing. No announcement, just all of a sudden could not call out long distance. Never again, partly because once you commit this so called crime you are banned. I could have paid by the minute, but I may be dumb, but not that dumb. I then figured there is more then one way to remedy the problem. Had two long distance phone lines, two separate carriers and switched off with a phone switch about mid week. Figured that would throw them off. Obviously it did because I did not get caught, but I am sure it was just a matter of time. I have said this before on the same subject. Good Luck! It is sad, but true. You can argue until you are blue in the face, but this day and age the customer is no longer right.
