I think the average is about 3-6 months. Some have contingencies on them...3 months of making your line count every pay period (no excuses) and off 100% QA. Depending on the amount, some do a split. I think one place that was giving out $1000 was giving 1/4 after three months, 1/4 after six months, and the last half after a year (or it could have been 1/2, 1/4, 1/4 but I've got the time frame right). While I understand the 'why' behind doing it this way, it shoots my instant quick cash plan right in the foot!
