Did you work for them? They are an excellent company to work for and FAR better than Medquist!

Why Webmedx? They run out of work all the time. nm
x
I work for Webmedx. Always on time, always correct pay.
x
webmedx has plenty of work all the time. The posters who sm
complain only have 1 or 2 accounts and DON'T want more. There is overtime today on 9 different accounts, 4 of which have OT until further notice. Now, does that sound like Webmedx is out of work? I know I work there, have for several years and have NEVER run out of work.
I worked part-time for Webmedx and I work FT for TransTech. sm

My vote would be for TransTech, although Webmedx is not bad.  Since I was only part-time, I did not receive any benefits, but from what I recall, they did seem to have a nice benefit package.  My main complaint was that I just never could get my lines per hour up to where they have been at other companies.  Normally, I average around 300 lines per hour, but even with totally focusing and typing as fast as I could, I never could get past 250-260 lines per hour at Webmedx.  Their incentive pay is based on lines per hour that you type, not total lines per pay period, so it did make a difference in my pay.  I also did not like the fact that I had to use their computer.  I like using my own computer, and also like the flexibility of being able to load the program on my laptop so if I have to be away from home, I can still work if I need to.

I have seen negative posts about TT, but I have no complaints with them.  My line counts are fair.  The people in management are absolutely some of the most caring people I have ever met.  The work generally is plentiful, and I have a backup account.  The incentive tiers are easy to attain, and the benefits are pretty good, I think, and not outlandishly priced.

Obviously, not every company is a good fit for everyone.  I hope you find just exactly what is best for you -- good luck!

Webmedx work pretty low. Typical for this time of year? sm
I'm fairly new, so just wondering. Having come from the evil Q, it makes me nervous. While at the Q and a couple other companies, this is not the time of year I typically ran out of work--Christmas, T-giving, 4th of July, yes, now, no. Thanks.
Concerned about the low work at WebMedx over the past few weeks. Typical for this time of year?
I've not been through a summer with them before. My main account, which always had plenty of work and occasional overtime, has been low for well over a month now. I have 2 backup accounts that are low as well. In fact, all my STM's accounts are very low volume. In all the years I've transcribed, I've never had this problem in August. It worries me more perhaps since I'm ex-MQ and consistent low work was a signal of a major downhill turn for that company. Thanks.
Thank you! I'm looking for part-time work to supplement my no-work full-time job.

? re WebMedX time clock, please. sm

Are they picky that you must punch in to the minute you are scheduled, or are they flexible that they just want you to punch in when you work, not necessarily to the minute of your schedule?

I'm not sure I can go back to a time clock either.  I don't have a problem punching when I work, I just have a problem sticking to a very specfic schedule.

Webmedx Time clock
Is the Time Clock for Webmedx really all that bad?  They seem good otherwise - just concerned about working at home w/toddler on that type of strict time clock...
Webmedx ??- Time Clock/PTO
I thought I read somewhere that at Webmedx you have to punch in and out for such things as looking up a medical term or using the restroom; is this the case?  Also, I know they get 6 holidays, but is there any vacation time or sick time during the first year or 2?  Any info appreciated as it sounds like a great place.  THANKS!
Does Webmedx hire part time?
//
webmedx PTO question. Do you get PTO as part time? (sm)

I know they changed from 35 hrs to 40 hrs for FT classification in the recent past.  I also know the PTO hours for the first year are darned slim.  Just wondering of you can to PT and still accrue any PTO?

TIA

Need help with Webmedx's time clock. I am contemplating a position sm

with them and right now I have to clock in and out and hate it.  I wonder if I'm jumping right back into the same situation as I was told they, too, have a time clock.  After being an IC for so many years, I really hate this.

So, how is it? Do you find that Webmex is a little flexible at least?  I just don't know if I should keep looking or what.  Thanks so much for anyone with experience with their time clocks!

Webmedx 12 hour window question.. Do you have to time in and out? (sm)

Do you get to choose the 12 hour window hours?

Do you really mean they are that flexible.  Say you have to go to school and pick up a sick child, do you have to notify anyone you will be leaving your computer or can you just go and tend to business as long as you work your 8/12?

Sorry, that does seem to be more than 1 question.

Webmedx - don't think I get get line count in for payperiod this time. (sm)

Several days of no/low work and last weekend when usually can pick up lines there was nothing.  This weekend will be last weekend of payperiod so I don't hold any big hopes for that.

I am relatively new to Webmedx and this will be the first time I haven't hit the requirements.  Can you tell me what might happen if anything.  Thanks.

Webmedx - Benefits and Full-Time Status

I'm a bit surprised that I haven't seen any posts regarding the new requirements to be considered full time at Webmedx beginning in 2009 -- 40 hours per week rather than the previous 35 per week.

I guess it doesn't surprise me completely, but I'm not all that happy about it. An extra hour a day of work isn't high on my list of activities I want to add to my day. I already have a hard time fitting everything in.

Anyone else want to share their feelings about it?

Webmedx hire part time employees...sm
I'm really happy there.  You might give them a try.
I know Webmedx has a time clock - with MQ I put laundry in, got coffee, loaded DW (sm)
went to the bathroom, etc. without clocking out and still kept my lines per hour up just fine.  With Webmedx do you clock out for all these little things or as long as you get lines per payperiod or per hour it works out?
I'm lookin for part-time work (about 3-4 hrs daily) after 13 years of full-time, anyone know of a
company that is hiring flexible part-time?  I'm starting a career in real estate but don't want to totally quit transcription, but I think most places require 25 hours a week and I cant work weekends, as real estate sales are the biggest on the weekend with open houses and people off work to shows homes to.  If you know of a place I'd sure appreciate the info.  Thanks!
i work 3 part-time jobs now. it can be confusing if you are learning both at the same time, but sm
other than that not a problem for me. best to get one down before starting to other or you might become overwhelmed.
Webmedx PTO rate of 1.08 hours per payperiod and only for Full-time Employees
Webmedx only gives PTO and insurance to full-time employees.  No PTO for the first 3 months, then something like 1.08 hours per pay period, starting at 0.  If they run out of work or your ISP goes down or your child gets sick and you cannot get in the full 35 hours to qualify for full-time, they want you to use your PTO to make sure your hours add up to 35 that week.  If you fall below 35 hours for 3 months in a row, no matter what the reason, they automatically drop you to part-time and take away your insurance.  Then, you have to work a minimum of 35 hours for the next 3 months before you will be eligible for insurance again.  As far as holidays, if the holiday falls on your scheduled work day, you have to work, unless you ask for it off in advance, but they do pay you for 8 hours of holiday at your normal rate, in addition to any lines you type that day.
I applied at Webmedx, took test, passed, and they said no to my part-time schedule.
Maybe call and ask before you waste your time like I did.
Webmedx has 6 paid holidays a year, separate from PTO, for full time employees.
x
Ugh - well I did all my work on time and I expect to be paid on time.

The phone company doesn't wait, the cable company doesn't wait, and the electric company doesn't wait for their money either - all of which I need to pay in order to do my job.  I work when I am supposed to, I help when behind, and give 110%, and I ask for my check to be on time.

I think if an MTSO is going to have to mail checks they should do so priority to make up for the delay.

Full time but no work half the time-nm

Part-time MT getting full-time work ??????

TransTech should not be giving out work to PT people on their DAY OFF, or any other time BEFORE a full-time MT has enough work    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Webmedx - low work ? Can you make up lines when work available (sm)
or do you have to schedule a make up time or just do without the lines?
Yes, but there is play time and there is work time. sm
You volunteer. Awesome!! As long as you are volunteering during nonwork time that is great or during time that you have scheduled to be off. Again all great!!! We all have to take off with our kids when they are sick. Did it today as I had both at home and took PTO time for it. If you do these things in this manner, no big deal, but I am talking about the ones who constantly do not showw up for work and have excuses as there are more of them than there are of people who actualy take this job seriously.

As far as retirment from the other poster.... please. I am nowhere even close but I can say the downfall of this business is NOT because it is going overseas. It is because we do not have well trained American MTs. I have been here for 18 years. I have watched it go down. It is sad but we can't change it YET!
This is very interesting. I work in QA for Webmedx. There is NO WORK
Why would they be testing for additional editors when there isn't enough work for those of us who work there now!

I've been smelling something fishy here for a long time now, this just confirms that something is going on that they are not being honest about.
Pay is always on time, direct deposit, very nice management to work with, and DQS platform, work
load normally busy, but low now because of the summer slow down on my accounts.  Sound an issue on some accounts, but not others.  Overall, wonderful company.
I DON'T work for WebMedX. My cpl
is not part of an incentive plan, 10 cpl is my normal pay, 12 cpl for weekends.
Anyone work for Webmedx?
I would like some recent input on this company.  Thanks.
I also work for Webmedx sm
and the platform is slow. I am tired of them telling me it is my ISP. I don't believe that. My lines are falling as well. Don't know what to tell you, but I am in the very same boat you are. Good luck. By the way I have been at Webmedx nearly 4 years.
I work at Webmedx. nm

For those that work for Webmedx how did the
computer ship?   I am supposed to start training next week and don't have the computer yet.   Just wondering if it ships via FedEx, UPS, or some other method.   I'll call Monday to double check on it.
No Work At Webmedx!
Don't waste your time.
I work at Webmedx (sm)
I work at Webmedx and really like it. The platform is very easy to use. When you are first hired you get a week of training to get used to the platform, account specifics, etc., before you are placed on production pay. The company provides many tools to help you be productive (normals stored in the platform, productivity classes, the ability to search past reports, dictation samples provided, etc.). I was hired right out of school so I know that I started on the bottom of the pay scale. They do offer an incentive program based on total lines per week and pay shift differentials for evenings and weekends. You get a flexible 12-hour window, and the benefits are pretty good compared to what other MTSOs are offering. They are really looking for MTs right now so you would not be sitting around and waiting for them to call you back like the other poster mentioned. I was called back right away after my interview. If you have any other specific questions, feel free to e-mail me.

WebMedX- NO WORK?
Anyone else hired for WebMedx recently only to find absolutely NO WORK available?
WebMedx, for those who run out of work . . .
What shifts are you running out of work on?  What work types are running out?
No work at Webmedx
Do not waste your time applying, there is no work. They overhire. I have to struggle to get my hours in.....Too bad cause they are all so darn nice.
Currently, no work at Webmedx. FYI
;(
I work at Webmedx
There was a short period of time where work was very low while a new account was getting ready to go live and work was being scattered to new MTs (the norm), but now that we have gone live, I never run out of work. I have a primary, secondary, and tertiary account (rarely ever see my tertiary).

I am very happy here and cannot say anything bad about this company. When work is low during the day hours, you just have to accommodate and work a couple hours in the evening or maybe a few hours on your day off at the end of the week, which doesn't bother me. At least the work is there. :)

Webmedx has ONLY domestic MTs. There is no offshoring.
I work at Webmedx too...
I run out of work on a daily basis. I have 4 accounts and cycle through them all day long if there is work. I so am tired of the double standard of my STM telling me that I need to work a set 8-hour schedule when there is work but who expects me to flex within my 12-hour window when work is low. I don't want to be chained to my computer for 60 hours a week waiting for work... Maybe that's fine with some, but I have a life outside of work and can't just work whenever there happens to be some jobs in my pool.
Work at WebmedX is very low. Many sm
people CANNOT get their lines in even with flexing. There are a couple of accounts that are steady, which the OP must fortunately have, but most are not. Just thought you should know. The Web definitely overhires--has done so consistently in the 3 years I have been there, but work volumes for the last 6 months or so are the worst I've seen yet.
no work at Webmedx
I agree with you Flabbergasted and I also think that our STM's shouldnt troll this board if they do not wish to hear how we feel.  The old saying that eavesdroppers always hear ill of themselves really applies here.  I have had no work for over a week now.  I received a chipper little email telling me that if I was part time or if I HAD A HUSBAND WHO SUPPORTED ME (WTF???) to please flex for the rest of the week!  What is this? the 1950's at the Cleaver residence???  Then just for fun our manager goes on an 11 day vacation and we still have NO INFORMATION!  Great.  Wonderful.  And please, please all of you happy little folks out there that are praying us back into higher work volumes, please no need to respond.  I know you believe that we can all just click our heels and wish ourselves into a happier work environment.  I prefer to actually know what is going on at the facility, even if it means not being employed anymore.  The not knowing and waiting around for someone to get back from their vacation to tell us something, is the worst.
No PTO for part-time. Not sure if you can work part-time or not since recent rule change. sm
You do pay a deposit for their equipment.
I'm part-time and don't have to work all weekend. I work Tues-Sat.
I've never heard that from Chronicle, of course I didn't see the ad.
I have 4 accounts, doing all work types, and I usually have enough work but this is the slow time of
year so we are scrambling a little for lines.  Easy platform, paychecks DD, always on time.
Well, please don't come to Webmedx. Scrounging for work as it is. nm
x
How long you been at Webmedx? I currently work there and
think they are a great company except for slow issues. Where you going?
With Webmedx they do require you to work
a schedule, though often there is no work so you have to flex.  Some accounts have extremely tight TAT so it is necessary to work a set schedule, some accounts may allow more flexibility.
