Is everyone in denial?
any OBJECTIVE person who didn't want to stick their head in the sand and conclude that because Transtech was the least of the worst that they were the best MTSO to work for, by reading this whole thread can see that there are a lot of MTs who work there and who aren't happy, otherwise something as little as 2 weeks pay without working would have LITTLE impact on them, if they were happy OVERALL. Wake up and smell the coffee, the INCESSANT advertising (because of the VORACIOUS turnover) is the real TransTech, not the postings of Pollyannas (ostriches) who are in denial of reality. I used to work there, so I know.

Just because she is making technology work for her while others refuse to do so and do nothing but complain about people in India, I think the smarter person is her.

Dear lord, lady, how many posts do you have to read that there is NO cut in way with VR before it sinks in?

I'm so frustrated with you and other posters with your mindset.

I am not management; I'm 99.9% sure none of the other VR supporters posting are mangement, either. The people at TT do not have to waste their time coming on these boards to coddle the likes of you who are hitting the panic button because *GASP* you have to learn something new.

Not happy about it? You know where the door is.

The rest of us will be happy to pick up the extra work.
It was a gradual decline. Most of us were just in denial and
believed the stories. 
Also easy to put an end to it if the company would simply communicate their denial of the rumors, as

NOPE, I'm NOT management, but if I was I sure would have better things to do then hang out on a message board reading all this mess. I'm just a lowly albeit satisfied home-based medical Transcriptionist who loves my job and the company I work for. Wonder why nobody else posts their first names on here?

unlike the poster who followed me! I too had to learn how to search the archives and that's why I explained how to do it. But, since we get the same question several times a week it is certainly not rude to post exactly how to search. I've never seen it explained here and thought that someone should take the time to do so.

On the other hand there have been so many questions on Focus - on a weekly basis, and sometimes two or three times a week, asking other users to search is not rude.

Makes no sense to me to come to this board and continually B&M -- be proactive.  Talk to the office, if they cannot or will not help you, find another job.  You are wasting your time here, and making yourself look bad in the process.  It seems that you just want to whine and bash a company rather than doing something to actually make your situation better.

That possibly they were lied to by the account?? Why would they pay to train you and upgrade all the equipment if they knew in advance that the facility would move completely to editing their own work.

As for not being told, where were you people when the multiple conversations took place? On Mars?

I am assuming since you are on the Medquist board you work for Medquist and make that much? I'm assuming because of your name your specialty is operative reports, my favorite report type to transcribe are op reports.  I was just wondering, it is encouraging to hear that, but even if not for Medquist, just to be in the field and to be able to make that much.  I certainly don't make that much now, but hope to.

Lots of communication regarding 401K roll-out with discretionary match, but no word on other items we would like to hear about that is important to MT's.

Yikes!!! Excuse me. All I did was ask who the company might be. Did it occur to you that there are
some companies we might choose NOT to apply with, or have applied already with and turned down an offer, or just not interested in a particular company. Who said you were covering anything up??? I prefer to apply with companies that I WANT to apply with, not with a mystery employer. I'm giving out personal information and have a right to know who it is going to. Someone is very defensive. What did I ever do to you!!!!

Not only that, check with your accountant. She claims the MTs are ICs but subjects them to so many rules/regulations, provides the software (no need as just Word would do fine), etc. My state's department of labor is investigating, and I also filled out that IRS form to get a determination, but my accountant says there's no question she was treating people like employees but not paying the taxes, etc. Too bad -- Stanford was fun work, even if it was only clinic work.

addressed that when she came to Transtech and emphatically that she was not interested in offshoring and they are not going to offshore. Sheesh! She worked for ONE company that offshored and she left that for a reason (didn't like offshore).

8 hrs & 1100 lpd have to occur for FT benes. FT pay 8.5 cpl. People have had trouble with paychecks
