Isn't it possible they are advertising because they are a growing company and are getting new accounts.  That does not necessarily mean a big turnover.  Sometimes people are so negative, even without knowing the facts.  Go ahead, call me a cheerleader or one of the owners.

would you want to be accused
Question, how would you know obviously anything about me or my experiene. These kinds of comments and accusations are just why people are leaving this board. I have 20 years experience and have worked for many nationals as well as individuals. I have learned one very important fact: If you cannot back up your accusations then do not post them. Someone could get hurt in more ways than one. I have learned when accusantions start without proof or backup, good companies get hurt. Why can't people practice simple common manners here just as they do in life?

week during recruiter discussions, and postings below (don't know which one you are or who you are nor do I care) reminded me that I had been meaning to post on this.  You seem very defensive for a post that was completely not specifically directed at you. It was a generalization statement, and I mentioned recruiters who were well known and whose names I would not mention. Maybe you are one of those. Either way, no personal offense intended.  I read your post briefly and don't have time to refer to it again, but if you aren't involved in a company and have no interest, I still find that odd to be referring that company to someone you don't even know.  If MTs care about a company, its never made sense to me that someone would then so eagerly refer a complete stranger to your company - how do you know if they can spell C-A-T? Just very odd to me, though perhaps their intentions are pure and good.  I used to believe everyone on these boards literally, and thus my post was aimed, as I am sure I clearly stated, for those naive posters, like my old self. I used to be so touched and emotional, thinking someone actually cared enough about me to help me find a job, only to find the situations exactly as I described. Just my experience and just my 2 cents.  I also found so many MTs who I thought were so kind, only to be slipped at the last minute the line of oh, by the way, be sure to mention my name to the recruiter, so I can get my referral bonus.  Yuck. If these same MTs had been open with this from the start of our email exchanges, or post exchanges, the effect would not have disgusted me. But to act like a friend, a caring fellow MT, only to then hear the old referral part, just made it insincere, which it always was.  Again, you are taking this too personal, but that's your issue, not mine.
But what about those accused of kicking
trying to get MTs to see there is alternative to staying a vicitm. I have been accused of down kicking but have done no such thing. And would welcome my quotes that others seem to think are down kicking.

just someone who works hard and appreciates having a job. I have worked for MDI four years and over that time I have seen MTs come and go, doesn’t look like it has put much of a cramp in their profit margin. It may be hard for you to believe, but some people actually do like their job at MDI and are grateful to have one.

I did not ask you what issues you think transcend needs to “fix” with MDI, but am curious, as I really don’t have any problems with them, just do my work every day; I leave them alone and they leave me alone – just the way I like it.

I don’t understand why people think you are a “MDI cheerleader” when you don’t have anything negative to say. Why is that? Sorry you are so unhappy.

and so good at your job, then why don't you share your secrets with the rest of us and maybe one day we can be sittin' pretty too.

You must have been blessed with a wonderful VR platform that actually works. Believe me there are platforms where you can do up to 150 edits on a 60-line report. Easier to type it. Be grateful that you have something that works. Many of us have been burned badly by programs that think presbyacusis equals please be a Q-tip, and social director is a pocket rectum, etc. Have mercy on those of us who have been dumped on by companies who don't care how many edits we have to make, just so they can make an unjust profit at our expense.

I will never be a cheerleader for this company, but I don't think it is helpful to post blatant misinformation.  I would not advise anyone to work here that doesn't already because I'm sure pay for new employees is much worse even than the drop the old-time employees have seen.

that account IS VERY BAD....and they will tell you anything at KS to keep you on their awful accounts. They play favorites with their MTs and that is nothing new with KS.

I agree with you. Dictaphone is one of the major cancers that is eating away at our trade. Note that when Focus stops running ads, the work dries up at TT. That is, until the people who hired on at Focus wise up and leave. Then the work becomes plentiful at TT, along with a few of the other Dictaphone puppets out there. The cure for this cancer, whether we like it or not, is for we the MTs to not work for Focus or for anyone who has their life's blood from Dictaphone. The hospitals and facilities would get sick of the crud that is typed by the offshore that Focus/Dictaphone uses. Could you imagine the offshore doing VR. Wow, Dictaphone would have the best of two worlds - cheap labor offshore doing their VR crud. Imagine the profit they would make. They, my friends, are one of the major players in the doom of our trade. Thanks for the ear.
Neither management nor a cheerleader
Just because I have no problems with Cornerstone, doesn't mean I am in anyway a cheerleader for Spheris. I have plenty of gripes about Spheris, but Cornerstone and VR don't happen to be on the list, except for the VR pay of course. I've been around for 7 years and have watched things deteriorate.

Why is it that when someone is happy, dozens will come on to nay-say but when someone comes on to bash a company, they have all the support in the world?

I personally do not like to come here as it is depressing, and this time was no exception. I had some time with a quiet house with 3 kids at their friends' houses, husband pulling a double shift and all work and housecleaning done. I thought I would check out this site again after a few months, put a post on and BAM! attacked like everyone else.

I just wanted to give my opinion on what works for me. I am sorry if you think they play favorites, but just because a company treats the employees well who do well does not mean they play favorites. It means that they reward those who do their jobs and do them well.

For the most part, work ethic is gone in this country and what is that going to lead to???????
Never seen a Spheris cheerleader on this board
I've seen Spheris employees including myself clear up misconceptions or lies, but I've certainly never seen anyone cheerleading for Spheris, because frankly there is nothing to cheer about.

Go ahead, defend Webmedx to the death of your job - its coming.  Some of us are speaking truth of what can happen to your job at this company - but you don't want to hear it.  Enjoy your trip up river denial - and find the real truth at the end of your journey.  I had a perfect romance with this company for a couple years, and it gave me a false sense of security too.  Oh well, you'll only believe it when it happens to you - and it will.  Meanwhile, enjoy your job and try to have a little compassion for those of us who no longer have a job to enjoy, because Karma can be a B.

Or say things like there's NEVER ANY WORK when there is work for maybe different ESL levels, accounts, etc. Sorry for being overly enthusiastic but this is such a good company, and I think a few bad apples who left the company previously cannot wait to bad-mouth it.

I think i will just butt out and let everyone go to work someplace crappy, and count my blessings.

Sorry if I came across too strong for anyone; i just like it here so darn much and have had such a positive experience OVERALL.

We got the list from AHDI. If someone does not wish to be on our email list, there is a link to click on at the bottom of those for opting out. We immediately remove those that click the link.

We also have a few mailling going out. Same thing - if you opt out of the email program, we will remove you from all contact.

We need transcriptionists for many new accounts and have ads on here and other sites, as well as several magazines. We are going to need over 100 MTs in the next 3 months due to new accounts and more work on existing accounts!
Hmm, wonder what the owner will say
no flame, but I would not tolerate that kind of off loading in a public forum from someone on my management team. Please remember I was responding to horn tooting that was short on information and left an impression that huh, I could do better elsewhere in addition to feeling insulted at the lack of decent benefits. There was no mention of UC contribution, STD or LTD, employer paying part of the health insurance premiums.

I said what I said mostly to make the point. If you want to sell me, do a good job the first time or you sink yourself and I won't look at you twice. There was little in the original post to sway me in your favor and the Jeckle/Hyde posting afterwards warns me of good day/bad day tangents.

Why not just post the email address of the 'administrator'. Are you just trying to draw traffic to your forums and away from the forums here.

Seems to me, if you are really seeking MTs you'd just post like the other companies do on the Job board.

back when most MT services were little and there was a real owner. Now that there are so many huge multinationals with no owner to take personal responsibility for the service, it's sort of transmogrified to mean organization, but that's redundant.

Just take it as meaning a service. Once again, AAMT, worthless as ever, ruins the language.

I can't believe people sit frustrated about no work and don't move on; that's just plain silly.  There are tons of companies hiring; get on with it already!  Come on show your stuff to a company that will appreciate you and not OVERHIRE!

I would like to come here and say that I have no idea who this individual is. She/he has never worked for me and my paychecks have NEVER been late. A company who does not pay their MTs would go under in no time flat and I am still going. Omniscribe is a very small company and I can count on one hand the number of MTs who have left here. Not one of them would come to a public forum to bash me or my company, so I'd be very curious to know who you are. I'm certain you have me and my company confused with some other place.

I have had people give notice and then NOT work their full shifts because they were leaving. Contracts can stipulate that you can be deducted pay for not fulfilling your contract.

Anyway, there are other methods to collect funds owed, if they are due.

I just do not feel that public character assassination is an appropriate manner to do so.

I remember reading another board a few years back....maybe quite a few years...and I remember distinctly J. Weight's name. I know she was one of the most argumentative and flaming people out there. Stay away.

SHE called me, SHE hired me, SHE promised me a job at a certain rate, SHE gave me all kinds of excuses why the job never materialized and then I never heard from anyone again. Enough said.

exact reasons. She called me, she hired me, she emailed me daily, she offered me account after account, which never materialized while I did crap work just waiting for her promises to be kept. Guess what? They never were!

I agree with you. I would not want the responsility of owning a company or even managing. My dad was in management for 28 years. You are not there to make everyone happy and sometimes people have to be let go. If you cannot keep your end of the deal I would make you move on. Actually I would be a real hard a-- if I were a manager. A lot of it has to do with respect for each other. You need to appreciate what you have. Too many times these days everyone just wants a pay check regardless of anything else. Some people do not take pride in their work or anything else. Every thing is not hunky dorry every single day, either on our side or a manager/company owner's side. It is just not realistic.

I had posted here complaining ile back that I couldn't get ahold of the recruiter who offered me a position and the owner of the company sent me a personal email to get in touch with her as they were moving offices and the recruiter was off part of that week.
You have got to be kidding. KS is a little too big for the owner to sm
bother coming in here and posting under other names. I used to see her name on posts, but it was years ago. I think they are very big now, and she probably has more important things to do than post on a board, much less use different names. There are over 300 MTs at Keystrokes. I would bet that only a handful post, but the positives are definitely from actual MTs. Wow. I am amazed at the things that people come up with. If there were not positives, they would not have employees. I have been there for 5 years, and so have most of the other KS MTs that I have gotten to know over the years.
