MTWorld and MedRiteXL. There another I have not worked on that supposed to support it. It is like CD4 or C4+ or something like that. IDS uses it.

MTWorld is quite similar to ExText in many ways, but ExText has more features. I found MTW to be very productive for ME. In MTW, you set it so that it does NOT turn on when Word starts and you have to Alt+S and turn it off when you go to send a document. If you don't, you have a mess and it will knock you out of MTW.

MedRiteXL it was fine. There, you set it to turn on when Word starts and you don't turn it off. You also have to be very sure that they turn the MedRite Expander off or you'll have problems. Because they usually keep the system normals where they keep the expander, you lose the capability to use the normals. I coped with this by having a copy of those my normals on my computer. If you happen to work in MedRite and need help with this, email me. You can't have Word AND MedRite open at the same time and I know a couple of ways to work around it and still make normals for yourself as you go along.

Extext, as you know, you have turn it on when Word starts. As long as you open Word FIRST and then start ExText, you have Word at your fingertips too. You can't change Expanders in ExText, but you can pop back to Word and put them in and the next time you start ExText, they are there for you. PITB, but doable.

Relative to the speed that Smart Type will give you, and NOTHING else is faster and I don't care what anyone else says, you have to be willing to put up with a bit of grief. I have InstanText, I can use it, I have the same glossary in both, but it is just not as fast and between the system grief and the expander grief...I'll put up with Smart Type.

If anyone knows of others, I hope they will share.
