I call it the dumbing down of medical transcription. And I think it's all about the money. It seems it has become acceptable to hire people to work in many areas in the field with no MT experience and often as recruiters and MT supervisors. Many MTs are being forced to work with and under people who know nothing about our jobs because they'll do it for low wages and a title. I have experience in management and have applied for positions and turned them down because the pay they are offering is not good,so most of us with MT experience can't afford to take them. It's become one big mess in my opinion.
