straight-up woman as you call her but I find her rude and condescending. YES THEY DID send me a test to complete. That is why I was suprised that they even set up an interview because I ignored the test. I don't know how long you have been there, but do you keep up with how they change their hiring practices?

Obviously you can't read or understand an e-mail. when a company says you have to work certain days then that is NOT IC STATUS! I understand a certain amount of lines and that is fine, perfectly fine! But she also told me that if I wanted to work four days a week it had to be both Saturday and Sunday. I REPEAT THIS IS NOT IC STATUS.
Also the e-mail did not say you had to work just one weekend day, it also said T-S or S-Thursday. Again, that is not IC status! If they have a total line count per week, then you should be able to work the days you want provided you get your line count and you would have to take the chance there is no work on the days you chose to work.

As far as the same experience as myself that is fine and I didn't have to work in many various capacities! I am not a job hopper my dear. I did the hospitals etc and then settled down to one MT company for 23 years who turned on their employees and have also been responsible for turning this profession into a joke.

BTW, I have a job I am starting on Friday that I accepted last week. It is IC and they don't bother you. I am happy with their way of doing things and they are happy that I am experienced, willing to work by rear end off for a company that treats its employees right. If you want to work for a company as an IC, pay your own taxes and have them tell you what to do, then do it but don't jump down my throat for telling the truth.

You are crazy if you think that standing up for yourself in one interview is throwing out the baby with the bathwater. That is the problem, MTs are accepting peanuts and bad treatment for fear of not being able to get a job. There are companies out there that still value a good MT and treat them as such. With that, there are also still MTs out there that will work and be loyal to a company that will treat us right. Obviously if you have worked in MANY various capacities, you are not going to be loyal to any one company for long?

Don't judge unless you know what you are talking about. I put the facts out there as I was presented them. If your situation is different than great but I know what I was told. Before you judge me you need to realize that not everyone has the same experience as you with this company and I have no reason to make this stuff up.

BTW, are you management or just a cheerleader?
