man, how judgmental

I cannot believe that you would post that about this person.  She didn't do anything to you.  WHY are people on this board so vindictive? And how do you know she cannot raise 2 children and type at the same time?  Many, many MTs have been doing just this for years in their homes.  I am one of them.  I have 3 children who have been right here the whole time I have been typing.  I have been an MT for 10 years and I do a great job.  I score 99% quality scores and make good money.  My children have never been in daycare.  We go swimming everyday in the summer, go to church, have family time together, even with me working at home.

I am sure that lots of other MTs are able to do the same.  Maybe she wasn't saying that everyone should love being out of work, those days it happens to us, but to try to find something good in your day anyway.

    What a judgmental statement!!
Sounds to me like you could use some help with your manners too, Miss Southern Politeness! I'm willing to bet you've never even been to Pittsburgh but you seem to know how RUDE everyone is there.

What makes you an expert on regional manners and attitudes?
    You silly, closed-minded, judgmental woman...
I am part of the MDI/Transcend merger, so if I choose to laugh at the irony of the entire MESS we are ALL involved with, I will.

Who made YOU the LOL police, or did you self-appoint yourself to that all-important position?

Get a grip. You're not the only one stuck in this crisis so climb off of that cross you're dangling from and save a tree, mmmkay???

I'm sure I'll love having YOU as a new co-worker *eye roll*

I feel like I had my life sucked away sorting through this condescending, judgmental post. sm

While I do not disagree with some of your points, I am not sure what you hoped to gain by posting all of this.  The ones you address almost certainly will not recognize themselves, and even if they do, they will not change.  And for those of us who are NOT that way and do strive to be the best we can be in all respects, it is just a stating of the obvious.

I am an old timer too, although I hate to think of myself in such unflattering terms.  I started with carbon paper and a Selectric typewriter, transcribing dictation from vinyl belts.  I do NOT long for the good old days in that respect, although I do miss the days when line rates were higher and being paid by the gross line was the norm ... sigh.

As we all know, the times are tough now in the MT industry, and it seems we would be best served to help and support one another rather than chastising and scolding others for their posts.  Of course, as I type this, I realize my post could be seen that way as well, and for that I apologize.  I very much believe in the laws of attraction and the power of positive thinking, and I have never seen negative energy attract anything other than more negative energy.

I cannot seem to sleep tonight, so I guess I might as well transcribe a bit more and make my insomnia profitable.
