I must say that if those who love VR are only looking for the squiggly red lines, then it is no wonder they are doing a gazillion lines an hour. But the report won't be very good. I've seen the reports that come out of our local hospital that went to VR last year and I counted the mistakes (mistakes which if typed by hand would not have been made by a competent MT)in 11 pages. There were 25 egregious mistakes. Ok, this is where someone says, well it was the MT fault. Yes, it is but this hospital MT department are sticklers for accuracy and perfection and I know they have editors editing the editors although how they can justify that financially I don't know. Anyway, I think that those who go so fast are missing a lot of mistakes in VR.
