I use Stedmans, but have also used Sylvan, which I think sm
comes with a 30-day free trial period.  Good luick in your new job!
Stedmans Smartype
I know that Stedman's Smartype works with Word and will work with ExText on a limited basis.  Are there any platforms out there that Smartype will work with?
A nice big Dorlands or Stedmans illustrated sm
reference would be of great help since you've been away for a while. They give definitions, whereas the others are word books, made for MTs who know what the words mean, but need to check spelling.

Vera Pyle's latest book is good, too.

Use online references as a last resort. Many are unreliable.
I didn't know that. At TransTech we have Stedmans, so I guess they provide it.
