I loved the work.  I had great accounts.  However, in mid July of 08 the work completely dried up.  I don't know what happened, and I was not able to find out what happened.  My account supervisor would not answer my emails, and I ended up going to the HR lady who promised she would check into the matter but then did not contact me for over a week.  This whole process lasted through mid September, and by the time I had gone to HR and then had her not contact me back for over a week, at the end of that week I just turned in my resignation.  I had worked there for 18 months and it seemed the longer I was there, the less my account supervisor cared that I was working (and doing a darned good job - never got anything negative back from the client, and only 1-2 corrections the whole 18 months, after I got up to speed).  I don't know if the problem was her, or further up.  Anyhow...

I said I was thinking about begging for my job back - yes, I am.  Because I cannot buy a job right now.  I have only 3 years experience, and with so many folks out there looking for jobs, I figure I am pretty far down on the totem pole.  Most jobs I apply to I never hear a response.  I would gladly go back to Sten-Tel but only if I did not have to work directly under my previous account sup.

My advice to you would be give them a try if you need a job.  If you have one currently you are looking at leaving, keep it for a few weeks.  Moonlight with Sten-Tel, and see how it goes.  Jobs are so very hard to get these days, I would take it if offered.  It is not a bad company, but there is room for improvement.  Pretty much like all companies out there, I am finding.  You may love it or you may hate it.

Good luck to you whatever you decide.
