CF Dimming

Not just any CF can be used with a dimmer.  It has to do with the ballast (transformer) inside the bulb.  You have to buy CFs that are specifically made for dimmers, which still tend to be quiet a bit more costly than incandescent bulbs at this point.  The dimming technology is also fairly new with compact fluorscents so may be a little buggy.  (DH is electrician)
