I have DirecTv s/m
and I do have what they consider "local" channels.  I am in Michigan and live closer to Flint than Detroit, but can only get Detroit channels.  I only prefer the Flint stations for things like weather.  It depends on who they have a contract with to get "local" stations.  I ended up getting a weather radio for severe weather as I do get paranoid about tornados!
Sorry got a bit confused there, not a watcher -sm
of How I met your Mother.
Weight watcher turn off
I checked out their program this past Friday. I hate when the receptionist starts trying to tell me how losing at least 10% of your weight will do this and that. Being in the medical field I feel that I could put more in than she would know, such as excessive weight can play part in some cancers, high blood pressure, diabetes and on and on. I got the feeling that when I mentioned I worked in the health field and then started to say what else weight supposedly plays a big role in she did not care for. I really do not need lecture from lay person.
You can google weight watcher points
and get them over internet at sites other than weight watchers. If you have the other material, just do it that way. That is what I am doing.
I've had DirectV for years and love it. sm
AT&T recently offered me a free year of Dish, but I turned it down. I'm happy with DirecTV. Love my TiVO, too!
If you haven't signed yet wtih DirecTV or
you're still in your recission period, call Dish Network and see if they offer the local channels in your area.  I have Dish and I know that it took them quite a few years to be able to offer me my local channels.
