global warming
Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is government propaganda - if it weren't it wouldn't be headed up by politicians and liberal hollywood. Remember - they live in a make believe world. Our world is just as God created it - he knows what is going on - and he is the only one who can do anything about it. I don't waste a lot of time worrying about it - especially since when I die - I'm going to be turned into a diamond by LifeGem - look it up - i'll make 2 nice pieces of jewelry for my children.
oh the joys of global warming!!!
Luckily we got to a high of about 38 yesterday in Myrtle Beach SC... but the wind chill was yikes.
I can't imagine living in negative degree weather! back home in reno it was in the high teens but still... brrrrr
I agree with you. One more thing, I would like global warming
a
global warming...I'm in S. Florida and birds

this is NOT normal......been in Florida 30 years and never heard birds in the middle of the night unless one is in the Everglades....and I'm not located there.

Been going on for almost a year.........it's very bizarre to me.

Agree, also what about global warming and environmental pollution..!
What are they doing about that? Closing down industries? Banning vehicles from the roads? Taking much more dangerous chemicals than cigarettes off the market? I don't think so : )
Global warming - faction, fiction, political, mountain or mole hill

Trying to get a handle on whether people have bought into the global warming thing.

Do you believe it whole-heartedly 100% Gore-ly, or do you believe the scientist who have been studying global warming/cooling.

Also, do you believe a lot of it is politically-oriented.

House Warming
My husband and I are going to be throwing a housewarming party once we get situated and moved in to our condo in a few weeks.

Is it appropriate to register for gifts and pass out the registry cards to those that ask for them, or should we just not register at all?

I'm not gift grubbing, but a lot of people have asked if we're registering, and what they should get us. I don't want to be rude and put the registry card in the invites, but I don't want to not hand them out and no one knows what to get us, if they do decide to bring a gift.
Only so-so, after all the hype. Get Volver instead. fantastic.

I get a little tired of the hype over Adam.

A lotta hype behind it, and apparently the symptoms are
Tamiflu, etc. are apparently quite effective in fighting it. People always die during a flu outbreak, usually not of the virus itself, but of complications. High death rate in Mexico probably has a lot to do with poverty and lack of health care for so many. I think the mask-thing is a little extreme, especially outdoors, but it's always a good idea to wash your hands often and carry those alcohol-based wipes. I use those after using an ATM machine, or going to the supermarket, shaking hands with people, etc. Probably a good idea after handling money, as well.

Yesterday I got this forwarded, totally panicky email from someone I know regarding stockpiling food & supplies, etc., as if it were the end of the world.
That's pretty overboard, if you ask me. But then again, some people tend to react that way to just about anything on the news.

I agree, in the beginning the media was in such a hype that we got panicky
and now they slowed down too much with the reporting so that we got the impression that it is over, but it is not yet!
Stay careful, out there....
I never heard of giving yourself a house warming and expecting gifts! How about a nice open
