Entertainment money?? HA!

I entertain thoughts of wild vacations/adventures. Does that count?

We cant buy groceries on a cpl pay rate, so I'm trying to come up with one too.
Not really.
The cost of groceries - WOW!!
I nearly had a stroke at the register today.  Eggs here in AL are, get this, $3.49 where I am, but you can get 50 cents off by being a store member, which I am.  That is still 2.99 a dozen - good grief!  Sweet potatoes were $2.51 a pound, outrageous!  Normally I do not look a whole lot at prices and just buy what I like, but these prices are even making me look!  Gas just went up to $3.35 a gallon here.  They are saying $4.00 by summer.
How much do you spend on groceries....
per month, & how many in your family? Anything special adding to (or subtracting from) the bill, like vegetarian diet? What part of the country do you live in?

Just curious.
They do deiver groceries here, they called
yesterday and I let them call back to speak to hubs as he does all the cooking here. He asked them several questions about their food, did they have grain fed beef was 1 thing I heard but I know he hardly buys it so guess just seeing what kind of place it was. I think he asked if they had website, would look at them further but I don’t think he will take advantage- he likes to buy his own and see what he is getting.
Can groceries be delivered where you live? Do you use this

I've noticed the rising costs of groceries lately

I believe the cost is partly to blame for the obesity in this nation.  It is so much more expensive to try to eat healthier.  I can make pizza for my husband and 3 kids for under $10.  Yet, when we have chicken, potatoes, a vegetable and bread -- it's closer to $20.  Of course when I serve the "full course" meal, my kids expect dessert, too.  Is there no end?

I actually found myself stocking up last week on eggs because they were on sale and I knew I'd be making deviled eggs for T-day.  I bought 6 dozen eggs.  I have never bought that many eggs at once before in my life.  But I saved 75 cents a dozen.
