we are our own god; we need to eliminate evil

You are not evil, you are just worn out - sm
he is laying on the guilt trip big time. You have done what you can. He is able bodied and more than capable of working, especially if he has a friend who has a job available for him but he is too lazy to take. He just does not want to work, why should he when everyone around him will pay his way. I'd cut him off. Tell him the gravy train made its last stop, and not to come back until he has a job and a pay stub to show for it. If he refuses to work, then give him some addresses of local shelters so he has a place to go after he is finally evicted. He has no one to blame but himself, though I am sure he will blame you, your mom, your husband and anyone else he can think of. There is no helping someone like that, their sense of entitlement is too high.
Resident Evil was scariest because it could happen
who knows???
Well, I guess it's a necessary evil. I have a son in HS and daughter in 2nd grade.

In the HS, if their balance is too low to cover their lunch, they don't get to buy lunch.  They figure high schoolers should be responsible enough to make sure they fill their accounts up.  At the elementary school, they are allowed to be in the hole, although I'm not sure how deep they can go because I never let it get too far.  The elementary school sends a pink slip home when your child is in the hole telling you how much.  They never deny lunch, they just pink slip you and you know you need to fill up and I always do.

I realize parents should make sure their kids eat, but what some people don't realize and is some people's pay checks are stretched way too thin.  There have been times when I've paid bills, etc., and then find out my kid is out of lunch money and I have to wait until my next pay check.  I rely on the school to cut me a little slack.  I make too much to qualify for discounted lunches, so I do what I can and I hate the idea of my kid having just a baloney or pbj sandwhick in lieu of a hot lunch!

Resident evil Apoc? That sounds AWESOME!
I love those things. Are there any others like that you could recommend? I am a member of Columbia House DVD and they have a sale and I was looking up sci fi, fantasy, and there were so many to choose from, I did not know which to choose. I heard the 400 is good. Also there is a movie out I think Alien v Predator. Sorry to get off topic, just wondered if you can suggest any other good things to watch.

No it's not creepy
Its a little odd for most to stay there every night all night at that age but its not creepy. If dad doesn't, the girl will eventually grow out of it.
it's creepy

I don't think it's creepy at all. I know exactly when
I got pregnant with my second child - 12/27/1981 at about 1:30 in the afteroon on a Sunday.  That day is always special to me because she has brought such joy into our lives.  Both of my children are such beautiful gifts to me and I celebrate their conception just as I remember many other special days in my life.
How creepy is this?!
I have a 17-year-old daughter, and it's just us living here.  She's very pretty but very picky about who she dates & really doesn't date that much.  She has a string of guys 'waiting' on her, hoping she'll one day go out with them.  (And no, she does not lead them on. They know she doesn't like them that way, but they say they're happy to just be her friend...)  But anyway, we heard a loud banging/knocking on the window last night at 12:30, which really startled us.  We were scared and waited a few minutes before peaking out, but by the time we did, there was no one there.  Then this morning, we found a note in the mailbox that said "I'm watching you".  Of course I'm thinking it's one of those guys who like her, one of them in particular was a little too persistent and scary, but she hasn't answered any of his messages in months, yet he still messages her every day.  Hopefully, that's the end of it & we may never know who it was or if it was just a joke or what, but isn't that creepy?!
this is creepy........sm
It really makes me wonder what motivates a 'couple of guys' in their 20s to approach a woman in her 50s who does even look older than her age?

Is this for real and are you sure this wasn't 'wishful thinking?'

It's a puzzle to me. Wouldn't you like to know? Next time, please ask the 'lucky' guy and tell us the secret.
This is creepy. Are you sure this really
happened or is it just 'wishful thinking?'

What would a 'couple of guys' in their 20s motivate to approach a woman in her 50s, who does even look older than her age?

Aren't you curious to find out? Next time ask the 'lucky guy' and tell us the secret.
Ditto - but add arrogant and evil to the list of adjectives to describe this loser

Played Prey on Xbox 360 and watched Resident Evil Apocalypse
yay!!!
Just plain stupid
I think an average dairy cow produces about 12 gallons of milk a day. I don't think women are going to be able to meet production!

I didn't say it was creepy -
I don't really think that is it creepy for him to sleep with her. He is fully dressed, and usually just lays across the bed to lay there until she falls asleep and he ends up falling asleep himself and just not waking up to get up. I don't think there is a problem with it, except that I want him in the bed with me...
She does not sleep alone anywhere she is. Her mother sleeps with her at her home, her grandmother sleeps with her at her home, and she does not spend the night with anybody.
I thought it was creepy! (sm)
It just didn't jibe with the Bible, IMO.
plain and simple, lack of God.

I keep all my bills in plain sight sm
with the due dates and amounts due right in the corner where the stamps go. Sometimes that is enough motivation. Other times I glance at my son's university bill, that's another motivation. Other times I have no choice but to leave the desk, go bake a a cake and go back to typing later in the day.
Acceptable? or Just Plain GROSS?

Well you're just plain rude, ma'am, sorry.
I just hope you didn't go out all that much for other people's sake. LOL!
No just plain old Methodist, raised Baptist (sm)
don't really think it has religious roots though.
Miss Kitkat: I don't WANT to do it. Plain and simple.
I don't think you're a woman - sounds like a man's point of view. LOL

The notion that people who mean it don't talk about it is just plain wrong.
You need to do what you can to get him "committed" for at least a 48-hour hospital stay, so he can be professionally evaluated. Call the police, they have a protocol for these situations and in most states they have the authority to "commit" him if they believe he is a risk to himself or others. Suicide attempts peak this time of year...don't just blow him off or you may live to regret it. Good luck.
Agree with you, and what's up with Phil Stacey's eye brows? Creepy! nm

Don't know about cats. What about adding mayo or plain veggie oil to their food? Or butter? nm

What is the best way to make a plain old center cut pork roast in the oven and at what temperature.
I dont want to add things to it just cook it.  Not sure to cover or what to do.
You're aunt is bully, plain and simple and I would just stop visiting.

but I will tell you this, most mothers are going to voice their opinions to their kids about how they did things compared to out YOU do things.  I think it's in the mother by-laws somewhere.  :)  My mother constantly tells me I'm too soft with my kids and I am.  My mother was a strict disciplinarian similar to your aunt when I was a kid.  Spankings were routine and generally with the belt or the fly swatter or any other object handy.  That's why I'm so soft.

I let me mother know early on after I became a mother, that my kids are MY KIDS.  She can give me advice and I'll always listen, but I will make the final decision on how and when to discipline my children and I and ONLY I (and DH too of course) will dole out any discipline necessary.  Nobody else has permission to spank my children, EVER!

My mom and I get along pretty good now.  I accept that she will be nosy and pushy and she accepts that I will ignore her and not call for a few days when she gets on my nerves.

I would just suggest being honest with your aunt and letting her know that you think you're a good mother, your DH thinks your a good mother and that your kids are doing fine and behave fine and if she doesn't think so, then she doesn't need to see the kids.

A beautiful silk scarf - received one once from a doc, loved it! Plain and simple goes w/anything.
