Looks like they're reporting that she had internal bleeding, but the report didn't say what was done to stop it. Did they remove the blades surgically? Did she pass them? (OUCH!) Has the bleeding stopped?

Where's the National Enquirer when you need them?

i've been letting my hair grow out for almost a year and a half.  i've always worn my hair very very short, easy to take care of.  but with the help of my hubby giving me encouragement, i have hair that just touches my shoulders now.  i have naturally wavy/curly hair, thick.  i have layers in mine and after i get out of the shower, i put some mousse in it and let it air dry.  if i dry my hair with a dryer, i turn into a big frizz ball.  i bought a hair magazine with pictures in it and there are some really good articles in there for the different hair types.  they recommend you don't wash your hair every single day, because that can dry out your hair.  good luck!

Thanks LinK

If you go here:

http://cbs2.com/pets/local_story_097010014.html (scroll down a little) and then click on Play, you can see a local news broadcast of the story, and it shows Gracie looking like she's doing really well, poor baby. At the end, it says something about her being up for adoption, but I've read that she has been adopted. It looks like she's doing great now.

I'm disappointed that her abuser didn't receive more punishment. I live in So. Calif, and I thought we had stronger anti-cruelty laws. (I find myself wondering why his crime was only considered a misdemeanor!) But at least it was taken seriously and he is being punished. There was a time when nothing would have happened to him.

I read on one site that there s/b a site for animal abusers like there is for pedophiles. Sounds good to me. I'd sure want to know if some sicko like this was in my neighborhood. I did find a site where you can find some info. like this in your local area:

I think I need to go lie down now.
I think when you hit the link you are
allowing somebody else access to your computer, although I am not exactly sure.  Maybe some kind of spyware?  I don't know, but years ago when I had AOL, just by going to one web site I got a Trojan Horse virus and it ruined my computer.  I had to start from scratch, re-load all the programs, and it worked, but had constant problems after that.  Do you have one of those programs that can detect Spyware on your computer?  You might want to do that, I think you can find some for free by doing a search.
Here you go. see link

Hey LinK (sm)

I so looked forward to the premiere episode, and about 15 minutes before it came on, I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open, as bad as I wanted to.  So I Tivo'd it and will watch tonight.  Will check back with you tomorrow.

Same here LinK!

The snow started coming down Sunday, it's oh, Wednesday, and we still haven't plowed out our driveway.  Two neighbors have actually called to make sure we're okay--isn't that just the sweetest thing?!  They can't fathom that no one would need to leave the house.  We don't even go out much in good weather but it's really easy to tell when no one leaves the house when there's snow on the ground....especially a foot and a half of it!

Gotta do something about it soon though.  I'm sure the mailbox is gettin' all filled up with bills and whatnot, but I'm kinda diggin' it being outta sight and outta mind.

One more link from CDC....

Here's some more from them.  I clicked on Gardasil Vaccine Reports on the CDC website.

http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/vaers/FDA_and_CDC_Statement.htm

Information from FDA and CDC on Gardasil and its Safety

July 22, 2008

Gardasil was tested in over 11,000 women in the United States and around the world, and found to be safe and effective in preventing serious HPV-related diseases.  These studies showed that in women who have never been infected by HPV types 6, 11, 16 or 18, the vaccine is highly effective, both in preventing precancerous lesions that often develop into cancer of the cervix, vagina, and vulva, and in preventing genital warts often caused by these HPV types.

This vaccine is an important cervical cancer prevention tool that will potentially benefit the health of millions of women. Every year, about 12,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and almost 4,000 die from this disease in the United States. Worldwide, cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women, causing an estimated 470,000 new cases and 233,000 deaths per year.

Summary

Based on the review of available information by FDA and CDC, Gardasil continues to be safe and effective, and its benefits continue to outweigh its risks.

CDC has not changed its recommendations for use of Gardasil. FDA has not made any changes to the prescribing information for how the vaccine is used or to the vaccine’s Precautions.  In addition, FDA routinely reviews manufacturing information, and has not identified any issues affecting the safety, purity and potency of Gardasil.

If I'm right about you, LinK -
you live here in Upstate NY too, right? I grew up traveling, never stayed in one place more than two years, and when I was 19 I discovered this area. I thought about moving once in a while since then, even moved to NC for 16 months, but had to come home. This is the most pleasant, safest part of the country! No earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and, at least in Saratoga, all the really bad storms just break up and go around us - something about the way the mountains lie, I guess. I'll never leave!

Go to foodtv.com and search on blue crabs.  Bobby Flay has a great recipe.
Someone here recentlyprovided a link to

it's also nice to know that i'm not "crazy" for the way i feel sometimes.  there are times where i can feel like i'm going to blow up with anger.  bad temper runs on my dad's side of the family.  i'm trying hard not to get so angry about dumb little things.  i've been learning more about God.  i was brought up not going to church or my parents talking about God.  i've had some trying times in the past year and have turned to Him for help and i do believe he's there for me.  i do find comfort in Him.  but i do feel like i have uncontrolable "outbursts", whether it's crying or getting mad.  thanks!
So sorry for your loss LinK. nm
