 Shock and algecide to get the water cleared up some.  If you close it green, it will probably be worse in the spring, but I wouldn't invest too much money getting it clear because it will need adjustment in the spring anyhow.  Get some test strips and adjust your pH on the low side.  Algae cannot live in a a low pH environment.  Most pool stores will sell a closing kit with all the stuff you need to keep your water good for the winter.
 
 Invest in a good winter cover that keeps everything out, if you don't have one.  We take all the filter equipment (hoses, everything) completely off and store in the garage because it does freeze here.
 
 Be careful where you shop for chemicals. I like Litehouse.  We have one store here that will try to sell you hundreds of dollars of stuff that you don't really need.  Found that out the hard way.
