My friend is a vet tech, and their clinic cat is an old thyroid cat who was very thin. They started making his food with rice, etc., and he is gaining weight back and coat is terrific. I would suggest a diet of *real food* with supplements as the other poster added. She is an old girl and comfort is more important right now, i.e., good yummies/treats.

I have a tiny, bony, old girl at my house too right now so feel for ya!
