I'm actually 4' 9"

I don't think age has much to do with it.  I am in my mid 30's and weigh just a little over my high school weight, but I remain active. 

I feel your activity level has loads to do with it.  In high school, I had more energy of course and my schedule for eating was not a priority for me, I'd rather go out with my friends and drive around than plan a dinner out.

If you don't use it, you loose it so keep active and make time for yourself noone else will!
