I loved the way he adored that cat and his love clouded the reality of her being a whole other species from himself. He just knew she was gorgeous and he couldn't keep his paws off her. I have heard other women find his character completely offensive because he wouldn't take no for an answer, but I thought it was cute and sweet. My sister and I fondly remember a boy in our class at church who was just as enthusiastic about the two of us. He was sooo funny and made us giggle.
