My husband and I are currently having the same exact problem with an "unknown" 800 number that also calls our house about a dozen times a day! Whenever we pick up the phone, there is dead air, and then the call disconnects after a few seconds of nothingness. It is sooooo annoying! They never leave a message either! We are also on the do not call registry, and have been for over a year. These calls just started a few weeks ago, and they won't stop! Why are even they calling if they are never going to say anything and never leave a message??? I am going insane with it! They are calling from as early as 8 AM (both my husband and I work late hours, so we are both still sleeping and it wakes us up) all the way until a little after 9 PM. I just don't know what to do about it either.
