the zinc necessarily helps with the insomnia issues, as I have not taken it just by itself, but only along with the other items I mentioned. I read somewhere that vitamin B6 can cause *vivid dreaming*, so it may be that, as well. All I know is that if I do not take these things, I am awake most of the night, for nights and nights, until I am so exhausted, I will sleep for like 12 hours, but then I am right back to not sleeping again. If I stop taking the items for any length of time, the insomnia returns, so I pretty much try to take them. I think the Thyroid-S helps too. I do feel better with that than I ever did with Synthroid or even Armour, and Armour is far better than Synthroid.
