I did for a little while (sm)

My dad died in October 2005. We had worked together for 13 years, just the two of us, in the family printing business, and even after I moved out of state due to my husband's job, my dad called me nearly every day for something or other. So, it was a really, really difficult time. I did try some online support groups for awhile. I believe I looked at Yahoo groups and joined a couple, and I think maybe there was a site called grief.net or something like that. Actually, I just couldn't take it for too long. Most of it was new people joining in a lot of pain, and unfortunately I didn't get a whole lot out of it because I was still very much in pain.

I can just say like other people have said.. it takes time. It is coming up on 2 years for me now. I still cry. I still have times when it hits me like a punch in the stomach and I think, oh yeah. Have I really not talked to dad in 2 years? I don't cry every day anymore, but I do think about him every day and I do still miss him and cry. You just have to take it day by day, experience the emotions as they come, and don't worry about people who tell you to move on or get over it.
