I will not drink alcohol or take any kind of medication, except ibuprofen for pain, while working. I had tried a glass of wine one time near the end of a hard day and within 10 minutes, my fingers would not reliably type any longer. I now wait until I am completely finished for the day and have one beer or one glass of wine, and that's it.
The same applies for any kind of antidepressants or medications along those lines. I started taking an antidepressant after my first husband took his own life. I could not function at all, and I put those things AWAY! they did absolutely no good for depression, but may have made it worse, and kept me from doing my job, not to mention making me ornery. (gee, maybe some people on this board need to put theirs away too. they might be "nicer." j/k).
To me, it is like any other job. You would not/could not drink while at an office, so why do it in private? these are just my opinions.
