I just wonder about others sometimes. My mother always said - consider the source, so considered.

How would you know that? I am a home schooling mom and sm
my kids are very socially acceptable through siblings, cousins, church, the home school group.

The big difference between the home-schooled kids and the public school kids are that they are more "deprived" of bad behavior and inappopriate things that young kids should not know.

And another thing. Whatever you describe as socially inept, or the inability to get along with the real world is not something I want my kids to learn anyway.
I find it odd that you don't know how much schooling your husband has had.

How doea one become a waitress? Is there a special schooling?..nm

Anything you think you can avoid by home schooling, not getting birth control, etc
for your children, talking incessantly about all the no-nos associated with premarital sex, etc will more than likely fall on deaf ears when it comes to children. I did live in a really big city and regardless of small or large, the girls are maturing much earlier and a lot involved in sex earlier than we as parents would like to believe. You can give a child talk after talk but restrictions, talking, home schooling, etc only goes so far with growing kids. You cannot protect your kids like you would really like to.
Guess he can take out a loan for future schooling! Son found a phone

    She's graduated past the age
where you should feel an obligation of any kind.

You are her godparent, so she is supposed to give you a gift, right? Is she?
I moved out two days after I graduated from h.s.
I tried for years to have at least a civil relationship with my mother, but it never happened, so I gave up a long time ago. I see her when it's unavoidable -- weddings, funerals and the sort. She still thinks my brother walks on water, and interestingly, he doesn't come around to help her either.
I graduated in 1985 and I first heard it
in junior high. I have never said it and thank goddness I didn't. It wasn't until about a year ago when I heard my high school son say it that I realized I always thought they were saying "My bag". Guess I'm not "so cool" after all. LOL!
    My daughter graduated last year
And she took a class that taught cooking, sewing, finances, etc. She knows how to sew better than I do! I guess it just depends on the school maybe?
Classmates.com is hugely successful. I graduated with over 900 sm
and right now we are only missing about 100 people. So, give it a try! Good luck!
Really? I graduated in 85 too & never heard it until recent years! (sm)
I assumed it started on a basketball court - LOL! A bunch of guys playing basketball and if one of them slips up they don't want to say "Oh, sorry" so they just said "my bad" like acknowledging that they did something wrong but not being pitifully sorry for it :-)
I graduated the bottom of my high school class (#136 out of 137), but
I have an IQ of 160.
Doesn't she still live in that trailer? Or has she graduated to a double wide? lol

My baby girl graduated high school today!
I didn't cry a bit.  I'm saving that for August when I take her to college.  I'm so very proud of her - high honor roll all year.  What a fine young woman she's become!  Just needed to brag a bit!
