I had already heard about vaccinations for felines

I have 3 furkids and heard about how felines reacted to some with the malady you are talking about. I decided no more shots for mine. They are inside only, never out. Even before this came out, one of mine never had rabies vaccination, just decided not needed.

No vaccinations for the kids and
your supposedly "old and gone" diseases are once again popping up, could be because of people not wanting their children immunized. One or two that come to mind chicken pox and whooping cough. Both can kill and I would rather be proactive than have a child come down with something that I might could have prevented in the first place. The preventive injections are, for the most part, totally effective and safe as opposed to the devasation these illnesses can cause.
Anyone know if this is true about vaccinations?
In 1985, infants received four vaccinations that contained thimerosal. In 1991, when the rate of autism began to increase, infants were now receiving eleven vaccinations containing thimerosal. One physician, requesting to remain anonymous, states, “In the 80s, children received eight vaccinations in early childhood. They now receive thirty. Why thirty? With each public health scare, like Smallpox or Anthrax, that number is going to inevitably increase. Twenty years from now, children could easily be receiving forty vaccinations and because the medical community – some of the medical community – endorses this, parents will vaccinate without knowing the risks.
I've heard of tops and also heard it is a good group.

Just heard
Very sad indeed.
Never heard of it until now....sm
it sounds like something you'd find in the south. I'm not sure if I like the sounds of it or not!
wow, never heard of it, but thanks!
x
I heard, so sad. I liked him.

yep, once heard it said that if you
expect nothing, you are never dissappointed, so I have learned to expect nothing, and in return, I am always surprised, which makes even the smallest of niceities someone does or says much more appreciated by me. We are to be happy givers, actually expected to give until it hurts, and not to expect anything in return, amen.
You have heard exactly what I have
over the years. I have heard so much of this I probably would swat my children out of their seats at the table if I ever heard these gross sounds. I also hate to hear yawning while dictating. Reminds me of the time I used to work outside my regular job and had a physician who was a terrible dictator in the hospital and at his office (this was a group of physicians, otherwise would not just have worked for him) and one day he dictated a letter to his bank about his account and you got it, every word was letter perfect, perfectly understandable. I think most dictators find the job of doing their reports not high on the totem pole. That is why we as transcriptionists have to put up with all this crap noise they send our way. Sneezes, snorts, eating, drawing on a cigarette (yes, years ago that 1 for me), coughing, smacking, chewing, and yes, that occasional bowel movement thing-- my mother would have killed me if I ever did this!! I learned well at her knee, still am very cognizant of others in a family/social setting.
You said if you really WANT to, well heard the
same subject on weight loss from my aunt. A lot of elderly people's appetites wane and now she talks about a person, all you have to do is push away from the table. Hmmm, sounds a lot like what you are saying. If you really want to. Ok, I am trying now- I want to be beautiful, thinner, rich, and so on and so on. Hey, I really want this so I guess it can come true, right? Like I said, lot of people just do not understand. Maybe she has a good friend somewhere that will understand.
From what I have heard,
they have great personalities. I believe that smaller dogs do need to go out more frequently for a longer period, but if you work at home, maybe this won't be such an issue.

That being said, any puppy takes a lot of time and attention, and if that is going to stress you out, say you have kids and a busy life, the puppy stage can be rough. Thank goodness puppies are soooo cute, LOL. My neighbors are working with a puppy, and unfortunately they got it at 6 weeks. They were really bleary-eyed there for a while, and thought we were really smart to get an adult dog.

Make sure you go to a good breeder. This is a good place to start:

http://www.bichon.org/breeders.htm

They are not more expensive than a "backyard" breeder who is out to make a buck. The less responsible breeders tend to give themselves away by using terms to make their line sound special, but usually mean they are outside the breed standard, or breeding for looks over health. Depending on breed, they may use words like "teacup" "giant," or even "hypoallergenic." Bichons may cause allergies for fewer people, but that doesn't help if you or a family member just happen to be allergic. So what out for such buzzwords designed to sell. A good breeder is going to have questions for you about how ready you are to take on a puppy of their breed, and they will also tell you that if at any time, for any reason, you need to get rid of the dog, call them - not a rescue, not a shelter. They will always take their dog back because they really care about the dog.

If you get one, we want to hear all the puppy (or dog) stories. :oD

Never heard of this...
but will go to Lowe's tomorrow and check it out. That might be something that works in conjunction with the other ideas.
you *heard*???? LOL.........

You *heard that AL Gore's documentary had no facts in it*?   And I quote you on that.

Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you *hear* - go do your own research for crying out loud!!!

At least Gore CARES!!

Has anyone heard (sm)
how the poison got into the wheat?  Last I heard it was a poison that is not used in this country.
Just heard from my son
they are finally on the bus and on their way home. We live about 1 1/2 hours from Tech. There is where my son plans on going to college. He actucally told me he loved me on the phone.
I heard that
on the local news - it is utterly unbelievable!
Um, TOM? Never heard of it.
No hits on my abbreviation site, either.
No, have not heard.
Don't remember the 1997 thing either. Well if it worked back then, I would give it a go, but I feel it is a lost battle. I hate the prices where they are. $2.77 for me at the Gas N Go in NJ. $35.00 just the other day to fill her up.
I heard that!

Also have 2 boys and 1 girl - she is the middle child and has been a challenge since she was a baby.  Tonight is the PROM!  OMG will I be glad when tonight is over!  With my son, it was rent a tux, order the corsage take some pictures, have a good time, be careful with my new car.

With my daughter, it is shop for dresses, shop some more, pick one out, have the store hold it, forgot a 50% deposit, go pay in full, wait a month for them to press it, shoes, slip, find a belly button ring that doesn't show quite so much through the fabric of said dress, purse or no purse, order flower for boyfriend AND also corsage for daughter because boyfriend doesn't feel like ordering corsage and his mother won't do it for him, nails, hair, makeup, be careful with my car (boyfriend is 17 and does not have his license).

Did I mention I will be glad when tonight is over.  Truly love her to death, but yikes!  Talk about high maintenance.

I have heard it's not at all
uncommon for an older child to go back into diapers and back on the bottle when another baby comes along for the same reason - a plea for attention. My husband is only a little older than his sister, and that's what he did.

So your son simply needs more of your time and attention. I hear 4 and 5 are the most fun ages anyway. :oD

I heard that too...sm
Boy, I hope not...that'd be too weird.  I won't watch it either if that happens...
I have never heard of her. I just
read on a spoiler thing something about her and was wondering who she was?!
Never heard of that . .
just the Plott, which was just recognized by the club. It is a short-haired beautiful hound. You may be right, as there are unusual breeds, not yet recognized by the clubs. If you ever watch Crufts Dog Show in England you will see some dogs we do not yet recognize in our clubs.
Thanks for this, I have never tried it but heard about it
and now of course never will try it.  I never thought of the fumes, probably would have if I had tried it.
Never heard of it. Do
you get them in stores or have to order them?
Tell me more, have not heard about
NM
Well, actually have heard of this before
so maybe just not able to obtain vitals and so therefore declared?
I never heard of
Curvelle.  Is it an appetite suppressant?
Anyone heard of this
before. My best friend (a male age 50) began to experience severe headaches two days ago.  He has been under a lot of stress.  Then about a day and a half ago he came down with flu-like symptoms with violent vomiting.  His headache became so bad that he took himself to our local hospital.  They ran tests and diagnosed him to have an aneurysm.  He was rushed to a big hospital in Chicago via helicopter earlier this evening.  After running tests there it was determined that it is not an aneurysm but just a "bleed".  The doctor said that it is normal for males between the ages of 46 and 60 to have this occur.  Have you ever heard of this?  I am worried sick about him.
I was a fan before anyone had heard of him
did a short-lived Fox series - can't even remember the name of it now - but this may have been accidental.  He apparently was having difficulty sleeping and told friends that 2 Ambien was not working for more than 1 hour.
I heard that, too.
You are supposed to keep them in the carton inside the refrigerator instead of in the door b/c the door is not cold enough to be a safe temp.
I have heard it all

As dictated:

The patient states her is unable to keep anything down.

Thanks - Never heard that - (sm)
Nice lead singer - (woohoo again)
I had heard somewhere
that women only have 2 or 3 hairstyles they look good in anyway.  I know - that's about all I've had my whole life (I'm 49).  I keep mine above the shoulders becuase I have a long face, and it pulls it down otherwise.
I have heard this too
I sure wish I was middle class.
You may have heard
As you may have heard, the Bush Administration said each of us would get a rebate check to stimulate the economy.

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China . If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs, if we purchase a computer it will go to India, if we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala, if we purchase a good car it will go to Japan, if we purchase useless junk it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America . The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard sales, since those are the only businesses still in the US

Has anyone heard of this
I work for an ENT doc and he was seeing a patient that had "multiple synechia" in each side of the nose due to putting green onions in his nose. I was just wondering why the patient was doing this?
Thank you. Never heard of that! NM
xx
I have heard enough, too!
I always felt they planned this stunt. They wanted to do something to get their 15 minutes of fame. I feel sorry for the baby.
Oh, you heard that one too!...nm
//
I heard this too
They say it sounds weird but it works.
Here is what I have always heard. sm
If you drink and it changes your personality, you have a problem. Otherwise, if you can drink and your personality stays the same, you don't have a problem. I personally drink 2-3 liquor drinks an evening. In this business, we need something to calm us. Tell your roomie to mind her own business. I think if you were drinking that stuff with your coffee in the very early morning, I might say you have a problem but otherwise drink on!
I heard the same ads
And they were sponsored by our electric company. I figured they wanted us to think they were concerned for us, but didn't want us to save TOO much on our electric bill. So they stuck with suggesting the switch to the fluorescent bulbs and unplugging appliances.

We're better off shutting off lights (and reminding our kids!) and shutting off our computers at night.

Never heard that...but maybe. nm
nm
I always heard with first
urination in teh morning, since you have slept all night, the urine is more concentrated.
have you heard?
you know nothing about my life.  You should not assume that in your post.  Thank you though to all the others who answered.  I have always watched them when I was excited about who it was for.  Its exciting to be part of history.  Have a great evening all.
I heard on GMA

That she was implanted with fertilized eggs and they all "hatched." The doctors wanted to selectively reduce, but she refused. I don't get it...already with 6 kids...in this economy?

GMA also said that the grandfather of the babies is supposed to "go back to Iraq" to do some contract work to support the family. Very bizarre situation...but as has been said before, and more certainly now, she will have her own TLC show before long...

PS: I wonder why I never heard from her again?
heh, heh ----- she's probably still driving around all over California, still looking for Monterey!

I too heard this on GMA not CNN
And they stated "single woman in her 30s" when describing the mom. They also said the GRANDfather was going to Iraq, not the father...
I have heard it will...sm
but make sure you have all the correct cords, etc.

I had planned a setup like that once but they couldn't get me the proper cord to plug my phone into my laptop. I never got to try it out. Mind you, this was years ago, and things are better now. Just double check. Good Luck! Let me know how it works.
I have heard
That the coffee pot does not matter. This is what I was told by Starbucks one time for a really great pot of coffee. I also saw this on an episode of Great Eats on the Food Channel (think it's called Great Eats - Alton Brown hosts it).

They said the coffee pot does not matter. They are all basically the same thing just with different mechanical parts. They said for a really good pot you need to use filtered water. I have a Brita water filter that I pour tap water in and the filter lasts for 2 months. I believe the filter costs maybe $4 or 5 dollars, but our tap water has so much chlorine we about gag from the smell, but the Brita does a good job at getting the chlorine smell and taste out. Starbucks told me that for every 2 cups of coffee you use one scoop of coffee grounds. I have a scoop that measures 2 tablespoons. The coffee I use and have been using for probably 4 years and have never had a bad cup is called Millstone. Here in Oregon I pay about $8.99 for 12 ounces (think that's 1 pound but not sure, it only says 12 ounces on the package). For my 10 cups coffee maker (which is just a plain old coffee pot I bought at WalMarts (Black & Decker) I use 5-1/2 scoops (I also heap the scoops, not real heaping but not even). Don't ask me why the extra 1/2 scoop, all I know is we like the strength it makes. On Millstone they have flavored coffee and that's what I use. I swtich between Vanilla nut (the package is blue and shows a picture of a cup of coffee with 2 scoops of icecream next to it) and Hazelnut (this package is also blue and shows a picutre of a cup of coffee next to a picture of pie). Really makes me want to have those deserts with my coffee too. :-)

Anyway...those are just my suggestions. I can't stand Folgers or weak coffee. I don't like Starbucks (has a bitter or burnt taste to it) and I don't care for Seattle's Best Coffee. Used to use that but now it tastes the same as Starbucks. And Peet's coffee is worse than any of them. Seeing as we have always enjoyed Millstone we are sticking with it. I'm not sure how that price is in comparison with other brands. The package I think will give us 3 or 4 pots of coffee. So it may be a little more expensive but it's dependable.

Good luck.
