Some tiles look different before
installation because they have big, interesting holes. When it's installed, the holes fill up with grout and therefore look different. That's not your spots, is it?
withholding is the same as tax tables
your boss is taking you for a ride.
Is there a local park with tables to have it at?

my friend turned the tables
My friend's husband was saying the same thing about their dog, who was also 14! Hubby said the dog would start having "accidents," etc., and he didn't want to put up with it so wanted to have the dog put down before the problems began. My friend told her hubby that this dog was as much a member of the family as he or the kids so she would keep his feelings in mind when they got a little older and have him (hubby) put down before his health started to fail. Hubby got a whole new perspective and he changed his tune in a big hurry!
federal withholding tables changed

I just thought I would give everybody a heads-up on the fact that the federal withholding tables have changed, so look for a decrease in your check if you are an employee.  I get paid every Friday for one of my jobs and my net pay was much less than I expected.  I checked with my boss to make sure our line totals were the same, and that is when she told me the tables had changed - so much so that she gasped.  Those of you who are being paid every two weeks - brace yourself for a smaller check.  If your gross income is about $1000 every 2 weeks, you'll have about $50 less in your pocket.

By my calculations, including my husband's income in the whole equation, the govt just decided to withhold in one year my son's community college tuition.

Make sure boss is using biweekly tables

As opposed to the semi monthly tables.  That can make a big difference.  I had an accountant/bookkeeper do that to me once long ago with a raise.  I had calculated it and I knew it was supposed to be somewhere in the range of $50 more in my check and the actual check came and was only $1 more.  We went round and round and finally I banged it into her head that she was using the wrong table.

use the link that Tech Support gave you for the IRS tables.  Find your state's tax and revenue site and get your tax withholding tables and then add 7.65% for your FICA/MedFICA.  Calculate it out yourself with what you think is a fair degree of accuracy and then compare it to what your boss has.

If it's the same, then I'm sorry.   If it's not, though, you can go to your boss and ask her to clarify what portion of the table she is using.

She may not be taking you for a ride, so to speak, she may just truly be making a mistake on the withholding table.
