I think it does a really good job, but at the same time it is a bit cumbersome. Some days it is so much easier to just pull out my small upright and get the job done quicker. To many it may sound silly, but sometimes I just don't want to have to fill it with water and then what do I do with the dirty water if it has a lot of lint in it. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats so just depends on how often I vaccum as to how hairy the water is. I also have 3 floors to clean and don't always feel like lugging it up and down the stairs. I probably would still buy one if I had it to do over, but at the same time I still often use my upright.
