    I didn't type this but...

During a report, this derm doctor who speaks in this odd monotone voice went on a diatribe (off the record) about a patient using something called "Boudreaux's Butt Paste."  He had never heard of it, and neither had I until his report.  The dude was HILARIOUS!  He went off on a tangent, talking into the mic as if he were talking to another person, asking what it must be like for someone to go up to the pharmacy counter and ask for butt paste, and why on earth were they using butt paste on their face...and oh it went on for a good couple of minutes!  I was actually laughing so hard I had tears down my face!  Months later I found a tube of it in the baby section of Target and was tempted to mail him a small tube just for giggles, but then I thought maybe that would get me into trouble, so I didn't.

That was my most memorable and most fun report and I will never forget it.  The dude should do stand up comedy, he was THAT funny!

    Good times

please excuse all those types - i know i didn't type them that way, LOL!! nm

I didn't realize I started the same as the topic below - nm
    haha
I started my daughter with a beautiful older type charm bracelet with Sweet 16 charm and there were
also some beautiful Sweet 16 necklaces at the time.. we decided on a charm bracelet so we could keep adding charms and figured she might not wear the necklace for long.
Type 1 requires insulin, type 2 does not - sm
that is the basic difference. Type 2 can be controlled by diet changes and/or medication (pills). My MIL has type 2 which runs in her family, no one is obese either. She controls it with diet and medication. Your dermatologist I think is wrong. Doesn't your husband know which type he has?
Haven't started shopping yet, but have started saving $$$
Don't have an awful lot yet, but both hubby and I are doing it (separate accounts) so we should have a good amount when we combine. My goal is to start shopping in September after my daughter's birthday and finish by Thanksgiving. That's my goal. I have never reached it! Maybe this year!
And FYI, the thread we are posting in right now was one I started, you started the earlier one. nm
    x
I haven't started yet, but have started my lists.
The only reason I haven't started yet is because of $$$. But I have started some good lists for the kids and the DH. I actually have some good ideas for him this year (he is hard to buy for).

I'm like you, I love Christmas but hate the commercialism of it. We were at Costco a while back looking for Halloween costumes and they already had their Christmas stuff out. They always make me feel like I'm already late on my shopping!

I may do a lot of online shopping this year. It's easier with little ones. My 2yo is more aware this year so taking him with me to buy his own presents is out. Darn!

It always seems that Halloween (my favorite) takes forever to get here, but once it's over, then the holiday rush is on.

    Happy Holidays everyone!
    Admit it now!
You're your own best friend, aren't you!?! ROFL!
    Admit it...pretty!

I know. .. I gotta admit It got the best of me and I HAD to SM

post that. The DEVIL made me do it!!!   LOL!  Thanks for appreciating my humor!

This is silly to admit, but...
I'm hooked on Guitar Hero III! My husband kept telling me wanted to buy so we could try and I kept resisting. Well, it went on sale at K-Mart, so I gave in, and to my dismay...I'm hooked. I just turned 36 and I'm playing that darned game like I was a kid. My husband loves it and so does my daughter. Strange family activity, but hey, it works.
    Hate to admit this
Depending on how much of a "snoop" you mean, I would be peeking in the medicine cabinet. I wouldn't go through desk drawers, filing cabinets, or dressers or anything like that, but I would, MIL or mother, have to peak in the medicine cabinet. I don't care about any of the other stuff, but there is something about that one mirrored closed door that makes me feel compelled to look.
Well, hate to admit but 2 things
I have a ring of something sticky (I had some good smelly stuff that left a ring) and then the smelly stuff spilled over and caused the paper to stick to the top of the entry table. I have been a messy person here lately.
Okay I admit it, I'm a resume dunce
I live in a small town and most of the jobs I have gotten have been because someone knew someone else and knew I was job hunting.  The phone rang, I started working and even filling out an application was an after thought.  Even with my MT job, the recruiter called me on recommendation from my instructor after I graduated.  So, here's my question....what exactly goes in a cover letter?  I'm guessing it highlights what is in my resume and goes into more detail, but not sure.  TIA!
what did I miss - have to admit I felt
the whole season was a little boring and they have drawn out everything so long I watch another show in between actual dances- but last I heard they had put the engagement off until after the show - is there other news?
I must admit that I resorted to bribery...
with my youngest son, and it worked like a charm!  He also would go #1 but not #2 for the longest time.  First, I tried bribing/rewarding with stickers.  Then I went all out and gave him a matchbox car every time he pooed in the potty!  It was a bit expensive at first, but so were the diapers!  I think it took a couple of weeks to a month.  I also made a big deal every time he went and got very excited, and I think my excitement was contagious and made him want to do it more because it made him feel good about himself.  I guess different things work for every child (my oldest son was no problem and potty trained super fast), but that's what worked for me with my stubborn little one.
ok, i have to admit, i lied in one of my posts down there
i didn't actually get pregnant with my third child so i could quit nursing school. it just worked out that way. i was actually in my last semester of school and my first trimester of the pregnancy. it wasn't going so good, so i had to quit. however, this having to quit school actually worked out in my favor. since i never finished, i didn't have to take the registered nurse exam, which i would have never passed because i really am a just not smart enough for that. The real reason i got pregnant is that i knew my sister-in-law was going to try to get pregnant with her second child in a certain month and certain year, so i decided to do the same. See, i am so whacked out that i wouldn't have been able to handle her getting all the attention. Even though it was my the 3rd child for me and i really didn't want to have anymore children, i had to do it. I just couldn't handle her being pregnant again any other way. Plus, I figured, besides if she didn't get pregnant and I did, then i could make her jealous because I would be having a baby in the month and year that she wanted to, because I am so jealous of her. She is smart & i'm not. She graduated from college, I am a college dropout. I'm shaped like a whale & she's not. Everyone thinks i'm bitchy but not her. So we both got pregnant that month and had our babies in the same month 9 months later. Also, I just wanted to add that I am married to a total moron. He is such a dork. I got him cause no one else wanted him.
Gotta admit -- I was a little worried

Not because I doubted their abilities, but because it seemed like in the first rotation or 2, they were showing some serious bias to the Chinese.  Shawn Johnson's balance beam was way better than Ying Yilan's and yet her score was ranked higher (not talking about the difficulty value, just the execution score) Even the commentators last night were talking about it.  Nastia's uneven bars got a lower score than it deserved as well.  I'm glad to see the judges got their heads out of their you-know-whats for the last 2 rotations and gave these girls the scores they deserved.

I do feel somewhat bad for the Chinese girl, though.  I hope she doesn't lose a few fingers or toes over this.  Of course as young as she is, I'm sure she'd recover quickly.     That's something else that seemed strange to me, the American girls seemed very emotional and yet the Chinese - nothing (at least not last nice).  Could that be because our girls have a few more hormones running through them, like any normal 16-year-old would? Hmmmm

Ok ADMIT it....you cleaned this up before taking the pic!!
    hahahhahahah. Dud!!
I hate to admit this, but Eminem, sm
his lyrics can be pretty heartbreaking. My daughter and I both sneak listening to him when hubby isn't around.
I must admit, this is the third night of not taking the Benadryl -SM
and my hair is already starting to feel better! It is not completely back to it's normal thickness and fullness, but it definitely feels a lot better than it did while taking the Benadryl daily! It doesn't feel nearly as thin and weak. It must have been the Benadryl all along! My hair feels so much better today!
Loooool...that was a good comeback, I must admit

OK, I must admit your dog is cute, but I'm still afraid of pitbulls.
    NM
Music groups you are too embarrased to admit you like
Anyone out there love a musical group (or person) but are too embarrassed to admit it. You know, the kind that your friends make fun of but you secretly say to yourself, I love that music. - Mine are:

    Village People
Glen Campbell (Wichita Lineman) - Excellent video on youtube
    Bay City Rollers
And most all disco music (Bee Gees, Super Freak Rick James, Taste of Honey, KC Sunshine Band)

Admit it that YOU put yuor nephew's and your SIL's inheritance share into your POCKET.
It is me who 'got it' very clearly.
Thank you! I didn't realize they made computer glasses. Will make an appt. Spit didn't wor

I didn't say her decor didn't sound great.
    It's not ridiculous.

I would seriously doubt the Christianity of anyone who feels it is okay to celebrate Halloween. It is anti-God in every aspect.

You can only service 1 God and the folly of man and carnality is in direct conflict with holiness.

Thanks - I didn't realize they didn't like the smell of citrus
I have the feeling he doesnt have a UTI and he's trying to tell me something else, but I'll be taking him to the vets to be safe.

Depending on which looked better in relation to the rest of the report. But that's just me. :-)
    Not my type either..
I do like the scruffier male type image - kind of like that actor who plays "House"
Always. I can't type without it. nm

I had to type it in...
the address bar but could not find the Pantene link to click on.
It's 3 a.m. to type or not to type

Need some ideas about insomnia.  Don't want to take those sleeping pills. I used to begin work at 3 a.m. and worked split.  But, recently changed to day because I found if I got a good night's sleep my line count and disposition was better.  Lucky to get day because it takes a lot of years usually to get it.  But, now I find myself up at 3 anyway and for the last 2 hours have been surfing the net, mostly here and e bay.  I know that if I typed some now I would be no good during the day and not get my usually good line count during the day that I usually get.  BTW: Today is my day off, but I still plan to work and obviously hyper because I can't sleep now.  Any suggestions on how to get off this overnight shift pattern? Been doing this insomnia overnight thing for about 2 years, and I like the quiet (3 kids and a husband) in the middle of the night, but worn out.

Please suggestions for an insomnia. And forget the warm milk, please YUK LOL. Thanks for your help. Maybe with your suggestions in a week or so I can get off this 3 a.m. pattern. TIA.

If you don't type why are you here?
    Just leave!!!!!!
    anybody out there ever type

What are the rules you apply to yourself for taking sedatives and drinking while at work?  Does happy hour ever start early?

    Wow, when I type
for a typing test (trying to get a job), I get so nervous I can barely type and practically pass out. Any tips on how NOT to do that.

I could never type 104 wpm anyway, but I type much worse when trying for a job. Gulp!
Well who is going to type MJ and FF?
That hospital was one of ours, so I told my DH that the docs will type it themselves as to not to get a leak out to the press.  Sad times, sad times.  I am in the Midwest now, not to worry about celebs.  Pretty interesting day it was in the land of transcription.  JMO.
Ever have a day when you just cannot type
I had one of those days yesterday where I typed dyslexic all day and it's spilling over into today.  Man, this sucks.  Normally I never have more than one uncoordinated day every few months.  Argh.  It's frustrating!
I didn't phrase that well. I didn't mean to SM
offend. I think I said that to other lady below!

I wouldn't want to be told that myself. I guess you sounded down. Again, if I offended anyone, I'm sorry.

I'm a channel surfer. Last night watched PBS documentary on Kennedy assasination, then PBS show on Dick Cheney. Yuck. Then watched show on stem cell research to cure paralysis. There were two young woman, both with paralysis, who were so inspiring. Watched another segment on Current about blind people using their voices to "see". That had to be seen to be believed. Anyway, positives offset the negative.

Again, sorry if I said anything out of line.
We have to type it if dictated. I do this..
    MEDICATIONS INCLUDE:
    1.
    2.

    DIAGNOSES INCLUDE:
    1.
    2.

it was a *duh* type question. that's all. nm
    nm
But I am certainly horrified when I type
a report of an facial x-ray on a patient who has been punched in the face.

They do it on TV and the movies all the time, and it only results in bloody lip, lost tooth, bloody nose, or broken nose. The reality can be much worse and quite horrifying to think just a punch with a fist could do that kind of damage.
No. It's a personality type to try to fix
things. A fixer (a male trait that some women have) doesn't realize it when a person is just asking for sympathy, not actual help. They think that by coming up with a practical solution, in this case, an honest way for you to make some cash and everybody to enjoy a little pampering for a small price, she has helped solve your problem. She has no idea this would be offensive and hurtful to you. If you complain she will be shocked because she honestly thought you were asking for help.

I had to figure this out because I have this trait and it's really hard for me to tell if somebody wants help or just a pity party.

LOL!! You should try to learn to type with them ;-) nm
    x
Why can't you type Restuvus here?
    Obviously am I missing something?
LOL SO TRUE! That is so true. Especially if you type and type
and forget the catheter in that your boss sent you with the computer and company policies booklet. LOL.
What type of mixer do you have?
    ty :)
Sorry! What type of machine do you have? :)
    ty
    smart type
I had someone tell me that Stedman's smart type was the way to go as far as spell checker and speed typing program. what do you use? and have you used it?
