I'm sure it's hard, but I think I'd do just about anything for my pets. Before we lost our cat last year, we used to laugh and call her our $5,000 cat. (Of course, I'm not sure how much my husband laughed) That's about how much we spent on her in her lifetime (she had asthma and a few operations). I have on cat left and I often told my husband I'd make him leave before the cat.
You're a wonderful pet owner to be thinking of him.
