You asked once and she didn't give you an answer. Just because you are friends does not make her really obligated to invite you to everything - maybe this other open house was something she didn't think you would be interested in - was a religious thing - or work thing - or something and she didn't know how to explain to you or whatever.... I would let both go for now and see what she does... So sorry!!
