But not in my living area, just above and below. They magically disappeared. I also used them above my false ceilings cause I saw the little buggers coming of a teeny tiny little space in the ceiling tile where the light sits. Haven't had any problems since.

In the basement.
I keep a large rug under it now and a shop vac near by for easy clean up. I used to keep it in my laundry room too and had a large cardboard box with 1 side cut out and taller than the box to catch, as my kitty is messy too. WHen she was little I used a ferret box that has the back side higher than the front and the sides taper down. That worked really well, but I decided to get an automatic scooper.
in the basement

They are both the covered kind, which helps with the mess, but litter still gets tracked out on their feet.  But the floor is concrete, so it's easily swept up.

basement
Corner of the basement next to the gas fireplace. No one is allowed in the basement when I am working. I am pretty spoiled, but I upgraded from the closet.
We have a barrel of bird seed that we keep in the basement.

A few years ago, when the contents got low, we found a 3-legged mouse trapped in there.  The seed was low enough that he could not jump back out.  Well, having had kept mice in the past (pet store varities) I put thick gloves on, caught him and set him up in a nice cage with all the stuff mice like.  I would hold him every day and sign Micky, Micky Bo Bicky, banana fana fo ficky....and so on.  Every day.  But after two weeks I realized that he was not enjoying it.  So, 3 legs and all, I took him out to our bottom field and let him loose.  He ran and skipped to the closest tree and climbed that tree up about 15 feet.  He then sat an a branch and gave me the evil eye.  Didn't know he could do all that with just 3 legs.

Well, a few weeks later, guess who was back in the barrel?  I got the heavy gloves out and went to reach for him, he FLEW up my hand, arm, jumped 15' across the room and ran under the door to freedom.  Guess he really did have enough of my singing.  Never saw him again.  (was definitely him cause you can't miss noticing a 3-legged mouse).  Oh well...

critter in attic
Okay - I have some sort of critter in my attic or in the walls of my house. How do I get rid of it without calling an exterminator. I was lying in bed last night and all of the sudden I hear something munching and crunching up in the ceiling. Needless to say, didn't get a good night sleep. Husband slept just fine, though. Guess that's the difference between men and women. Any ideas or suggestions?
Bats in attic sm

True history: Child ill, hospital sent home with flu - she died from rabies - bite not visible due to hair. Seminar topic - true story.

Do you have bats in the house up in your attic??
We used to get these little gross brown bugs that look EXACTLY like bedbugs. They were from bats. These bugs will feed off bat droppings, as gross as that sounds. The house we moved into had bats in the attic...once we got rid of the bats the bugs were gone! Never had a lot like you do, but we had them. Look up "bat bugs" on Google.com and you can look at them.

I am 40 and I still have my Baby Alive doll - packed away in my attic. Love her! sm
Gave her to my daughter when she was little and she loved her - now all her dolls and mine are stored away in the attic for the next generation. I can't get rid of them....don't know why... too many memories I guess. I love dolls.
I've been told I have bats in my attic...and that I'm a french fry short of a happy meal, too!
