I was 43 when I de-dramatized

My brother died suddenly and I had just moved 1000 miles back to the area where I grew up. Man, what a mess my friends and family had made of their lives while I was gone. I really looked inside myself and made a decision that I will only keep good things in my life and get rid - and STAY rid - of the bad. lol, because of some decisions I was making, my mom decided to kick me out of the house to _teach me a lesson, how to be a responsible adult_ (I had been helping both my adult son get established on his own and my teenage daughter with a new baby learn to deal with her own problems...yeah, I needed a lessen in how to be responsible!) I also disconnected from my best friend because I realized the relationship was totally about her, we had grown apart and she had picked up some habits that weren't going to bring good things into my life.

I have much less drama in my life, although it is a challenge to try to live with only good things in my life on a daily basis, but it sure feels good :)
