Remember I can't scratch whenever/wherever I itch.

Get used to sacrificing productivity for the constant interruptions.

Resign myself to the fact that I'll spend more time faxing stats/calling to confirm their receipt than I will typing.

Spend half my paycheck on potlucks and other people's kids' school fundraisers.

Be ready for my schedule to change at the drop of a hat, because other people decided to take a day off or goofed off until there's a huge backlog.  Then be expected to take time off later in the week so I won't get OT.
