you have other plans that evening and if they don't mind staying at your house alone then come on down. Otherwise maybe they might want to make hotel arrangements if they don't want to be at your house. Either way they know that you have other plans and should be understanding of that and not expect you to stay home. Just be honest with them and let them know it's ok if they stay at your house, just know you have other plans that night.
