It should get better as you get older. I was well into my 40s before I could skip a day washing my hair. Now I can get away with every other day.

If it's any consolation...(sm)
I have the same problem here every winter.  I live in the south, but have an older house that seems to be under constant renovation.  I absolutely have to work where I can see out a window, so of course, that doesn't help, but w/o the window I feel like I'm in solitary confinement.  I do use that plastic stuff that goes over windows that you straighten out with a hair dryer, and that helps with drafts.  Any farther north and I'd probably just die.  I feel for ya. I typically just do like you do and just bundle up with anything and everything I can find (I usually steal my husband's robe because it's bigger and thicker than mine) and a space heater right under me.  That usually kind of works for everything except for my hands.  I've tried gloves of all sorts, even cutting the fingers out of them, but can never get used to it.  Hang in there.
