I'm about ready to get another dog. We lost ours last fall due to old age and a stroke. I don't believe you can replace a loved pet easily so I've been taking my time before investing my heart again. I had decided that later this summer, after my kids and grandkids visit, I'd start looking at the shelters to see if I can find a small older dog. Are you anywere near eastern North Carolina? If you decide you can't find away around the allergic reaction, I hope you find a good home.
