But I see this as a sign that the child may be seeking attention.  Private schools are after money.  That's their bottom line.  The kids I went to school with in high school came from private schools, already drank, smoked, and cursed like sailors.  I grew up in a neighborhood that was known for drug activity yet I knew nothing about it.  Believe it or not!  I think that these private school children are sheltered.

The OP does have a little gripe in that she was not called when the incident occurred, but maybe the nurse felt it was not necessary.  My daughter has gone to the nurse with belly aches or when she falls and scrapes her knee and I am not called, but it is written in her agenda that she did go the nurse's office and what treatment was given.

By the way, it is not just private schools with a code of conduct . Public schools have them as well.  If the OP feels that strongly, she should have called the police herself and reported it.
