In time you may want to wear them. My husband took my father's suit after he died and I was very surprised that he did that. He said, why not, I loved your dad, too? I was kind of proud of him for that one. What else is he going to do with them? I think your sister would be happy to bring you some joy after her departure. Only if and when you are comfortable. What a sweet BIL. I think it's a very loving gesture.
