I understand why you shook his hand, but I don't think I could have even done that. My heart does hurt for his children, they lost their mother and now their father (not that I didn't want him to go to prison), but they love their dad and believe in his innocence. I know they are better off without him, but I am guessing they don't seen it that way.

thank you for the kudos, but

the bios themselves tell the state where they work and they don't pursue collection.  They push it over to the federal level in the hopes that next year the parents will file for an income tax refund...and of course keep the money to pay the state back for the small help they give me.  I've called and asked why they are not garnishing only to be told they don't have a current address.  Duh.  It was computer printed on the CS order last December, along with the employer information...who dropped the ball?  I have to just sit back and not expect anything from anyone or I would go nutz.

Sometimes, a divorce is like that.  You have to rely on yourself to be the strongest one to lift yourself and your children out of a bad situation (like this OP) and find strength that can only be gifted by a higher power to lean on to move on.  The point is...the world was here first...it expects nothing from us and we deserve nothing from it...we each have to decide the right path to take and find the internal strength to take those baby steps one at a time, day by day, until we have achieved a lifetime of positives in the here and now that outweighed the negatives of the past.

I really do emphasize with the OP.  There, but by the grace of .... go I.  sometimes, twice, lol.

Kudos to you!
You know 60 is the new 40!!!
Kudos to her! (sm)
Sounds like he wanted to have his cake and eat it too.
My goodness, kudos to you and tell me
how did you achieve this weight loss?
First, kudos to your husband...sm
He wants to be there for you.  Definitely tell him you would prefer he not go, but perhaps he could treat you to dinner out sometime afterwards.  BTW, you are not abnormal--unless I am, too.  I prefer going for exams/tests on my own.  In fact, most of the time I do not tell people about them until after the fact.  Hope everything turns out well for you.
Kudos to you for working LOLcats into THIS thread. :-) nm

well, Xanax, of course
I cannot go on an outing with my mother or to a family gathering without being medicated/calmed.  Also, I cannot go near a WalMart without it.  Love my alprazolam -- 2 mg q. h.s. for sleep, 0.5 to 1 mg p.r.n.
She could definitely use a Xanax
I can't stand her emotional outburst. Entertainment value is right but it is just not ver valuable.
I know it' not the Xanax....because
these sleep paralysis events started way back in the late 1970s and I just started taking xanax in the last year. Actually, my MT job is the reason I need them to relax at night. And I don't take sleeping pills...don't need them...rarely have a problem falling asleep. But the xanax does seem to help the muscle tension. Thank you, Dr Jan.
hey, Xanax...
Speaking of the word board, did ya see the one about a week ago where they were asking about "symphysis pubise" or some variation of symphysis pubis? I mean, c'mon now....ONE SINGLE Google HIT would have brought up the correct spelling, not to mention cracking open about ANY Stedman's or Dorland's.

I see posts like THAT on the word board, and just shudder at the thought of who might be transcribing MY medical reports (insert *lol* here, although it's more a giggle of disbelief than an outright laugh).
Congratulations! Yes, I remember and voted. Kudos to all visitors

I had to start taking Xanax for PMS. sm
I always had some PMS but could handle it and treat it naturally. Now I am 40 and think I am perimenopausal and had similar symptoms to what you said above - unbearable. I started taking one xanax a day during my PMS week and one at night for sleep.
oh my God - you're my hero Xanax .
Way to go
