Glad you had a great time. I love to hear when people go and have a blast. I do like to warn them about where to go and where to avoid. Also, wearing a pair of shoes that you don't really care about is a good idea. I always carry hand sanitizer with me as well.
I hope next year will be just as much fun for you. I would suggest parking in one of the lots or garages near the French Quarter....worth the money, believe me.

I went in 1982 - I would LOVE to go again. It was so much fun. I didn't see any problems at all - no fights, nothing stolen, nothing - just A LOT of people having a great time.
Its not Mardi Gras yet/ what parade ?

Mardi Gras was a GAS! Will go again next year for sure.
Nothing broke, nothing stolen, no groping, just lots and lots and LOTS of beads. Definitely fun. Worst thing to happen was I lost my sunglasses but found them and got a parking ticket. Oh well! The car didn't get towed! Much fun!
