 70 years later, dog food has been greatly improved.  The simplest thing you can do is to look at the label & see what is #1 on the list of ingredients; obviously it should be some kind of meat.
 
 I get premium food for my dogs because it doesn't have corn, ethoxyquin, sugar, or "by-products" (you DON'T want to know what these are) & is made from human-grade meat. It doesn't end up being more expensive because they get more nutrition from the same amount & eat less of it & still maintain their weight.
 
 In the 1930s we were still using abacuses & now we have Deep Blue.  Does this mean computers are useless?
