I think sometimes movies on TV are just cut for time reasons. For example, I always watch White Christmas every year but I only have it on VHS and I moved my VCR out of the living room. Well it came on TV so I thought I'd watch it. I watched some until I realized it was being edited for time and they cut out a dance number that I really liked so I said the heck with that and went and watched the movie in the guest bedroom on the old VCR! Certainly nothing politically incorrect in that whole movie!
