So you think it is ok/healthy for girls in high school to be having sex with their boyfriends and to embrace that? Seriously? I understand just as well as the next person that kids are going to engage in that activity but I also know the heartache that it causes to do so. See, I got pregnant at 20 because of that (yes, I was having safe sex). My college career as I knew it was over because I was stupid. I love my daughter more than life itself and know she was sent to me to straighten my tail out because I was on the wrong track. There is no way in hades that I would tell a teenage girl that it is ok to have sex, period. Sex is great, but it has to be done responsibly - show me one teenager that even knows what that means!!!
Call me a prude, out of touch all you want - I know the reality of it and my daughter will be taught RESPONSIBILITY and when you are not responsible, there are consequences that YOU have to deal with.
