I have 3 kids.  The one thing they want most is a trampoline.  We're going with one of the larger ones with the enclosure and the padded poles.  It should run about $400 to $500.  In addition, they'll each get a few small gifts for about $100 to $150 each.

We do a name exchange every year with my siblings, normally spending $60 to $80 per gift, but this year we cut that back to $30 per gift.  For the parents -- cash or gift cards -- save money on gas to return unwanted gifts.  My hubs and I agreed on only 1 small gift for each other.  We're building a house and want to spend the cash on new furnishings.

In case this sounds like a lot, we normally spend about $3000 on Christmas and this year we're hoping to cut that in half.
