There is no way around the facts. I understand your deliema and it is a hard one, but the truth of the matter is if you CHOOSE to have cats, then you choose their behavior. It is hard and I don't like my stuff being torn up either (I have 4 cats, although they are pretty good about using their posts, but still rip up the carpet at the doorways)but that is just the facts of having cats for companions. So no absolutely not. Furniture is far less important to me than mutilating my cats feet by cutting off the end of their toes. Again I sympathize with you, but I sympathize with the cats more. Sincerely!
